enjoyable stay

I cannot think of anything outstanding about this hotel. The staff, amenities, and room all lived up to the expectations I would have when paying this price for a room. We didn't use the pool, which is a nice amenity for families. The gym was a little small and when there were five people working out at the same time, it was a little crowded. The concierge staff was capable: arranging admission tickets, making dinner resservations, and hiring cars. The location is a little out of the way and everyone recommended that we not walk through the park in the evening, which means you are catching a cab back from the Via Veneto.
WE enjoyed it here

This is a beautiful hotel. We had no problem with our room or the service . It is a little off the beaten path- no shops or restaurants nearby. For that reason, it would be nice if there were more options for dining and the room service menu was rather limited. The breakfast buffet was well done. We also had trouble with the room being a little hot. Overall we liked it here.

Parco dei Principi has a morden architecture but a neo renaissance decor inside that give him lot of charm.
The hotel overlook the Villa Borgese gardens. You must book a room with view, with chance you will see the St Pierre Dome and you may hear in the morning the animals from the Zoo near by.
Rooms are very well equiped, very nice bathrooms and amenities. Other facilities include a very nice swiming pool (be careful if you have outside guest a charge of 60 euros apply). An interesting wine bar in the lobby with a somelier shop is a must to visit.
My only concern about this hotel is the front desk/Concierge service, not really friendly and smily...

My partner and I stayed here for 5 days around New Year 2008.
Really enjoyed or stay, we hava superiour suite on the top floor with amazing views of the park, and the rest of rome, including the Done of St Peters.
We had champagne and petit fours in our room - not sure if that was included in the price or not but it was lovely!
I have no idea what the hotel cost but it seems expensive.
Breakfast was great, they had everything at the buffet, good service, fresh tea and good coffee. Lovely dining room.
Not being used to 5-star hotels I foujnd this place opulent (maybe the lobby is a bit OTT/intimidating!) and luxurious.
Very comfortable suite, comfortable bed, room was cleaned twice daily, with turn-down service. the suite was large, as was the bathroom, which had a seoerate toilet/bath/bidet room, and a twin-handbasin/shower room. Heated towels, bathrobe and sliiper, the lot. And when they turn down the bed they lay out your slippers next to on a special mat!
the room was a bit overheated, and we kept the doors of both balconies open at night - even in december.
I had a great experience at this hotel - most of the staff were fantastic, all the concierge staff were wonderful for ordering taxi's taking care of our luggage etc. (and no, they didn't provide us with a shuttle to get to the train station but they did of course call us a taxi. which was as much as anyone could reasonably expect!) Taxis not too expensive.
Location is a bit off the beaten track but there is a tram around the corner which takes you right down to the vatican, its a nice trip, about 20 minutes. its about a 20 minute walk to the spanish Steps, or 5 minutes in a taxi.
the great thing about being up here is the peace and the green green park. id say that's fantastic in summer time.
I would not reccommend Rome as a destination for new years - though maybe if you hung around a hotel it would be different. we spent the eveining in the city centre walking around, soaking up the atmosphere, hoping tosee fireworks, music etc. It was a bit like a war zone all; right. not for the faint-hearted - everyone was throwing their own firworks around the place, it was unsupervised and unsafe, and we saw several ambulances!
My partner propsed to me on the balcony of our suite at night - very romantic!! (I said yes!). Top location for this.
