I stayed at this hotel for one night in April and was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room. The reception area is very smart but disguises the fact that the hotel is poorly managed. We went for drinks at the bar around 10pm and were amazed to find dirty glasses all over the place and a discarded cigarette packet on the bar. When I moved the cigarette packet to put my drink on the bar I thought that the barman would wipe down the surface and remove the empty packet. I was wrong. The empty cigarette packet remained on the counter along with numerous other dirty glasses for most of the evening. This is definately not a four star hotel in any real sense of the word and really caters for bus parties of tourists who have little choice where to stay other than where their tour company deposits them.

Il personale di quest’hotel era estremamente maleducato e poco efficiente. Il vicedirettore era addirittura peggio. La piscina era sporca; i messaggi telefonici non venivano inoltrati; ho viso il cameriere toccare il pane con le mani dopo essersi messo le dita nel naso. Quando siamo andati a reclamare siamo stati trattati in modo sgarbato. Abbiamo chiesto una brocca d’acqua per la camera e ci hanno risposto di bere l’acqua del rubinetto del bagno. Gli dovrebbero dare delle stelle negative. In camera l’illuminazione era scadente e c’era un sacco di polvere intorno alle sedie e alla toletta. Meglio stare sotto un portone!!

Staff at this hotel are extremely rude and ineffecient. Assistant Manager even worse. The pool was filthy, phone messages not given. Waiter touching bread with bare hands after picking his nose. Complaint was met with total rudeness. Asked for jug of water for bedroom told to drink water from bathroom. Should be minus stars. Lighting in room very poor. Lots of dust around chairs in room and dressing table. Better to stay in a doorway!!

I stayed at Palace Hotel Cannes October 27-29. This was according to hotels.ch recommendation and it was supposedly rated a 4-star hotel. This hotel did not deliver at this level in any way. The rooms are in bad need or repair, the floors (especially bathroom) were dirty. Listed among amenities is a fitness room - which was a dirty room with some stacked chairs. The expensive breakfast was not fresh and not included with the price of the room. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing Cote-d'Azur experience. Thank you.

The Staff was excellent very helpful and pro active. No word to explain how the breakfast and the meals are so good. Top location because district very quiet and close by La Croisette. We ll comme back !!! L. Gobelle
