The USP of Intercity hotels in Germany is their affinity to railway stations. In our case it was convenient to arrive there by train from TXL and to continue after our weekend in Rostock by boat to Finland. Actually the shuttle to the boat leaves exactly at this hotel. We were welcomed very firendly, got a room in bright colours, with a large bathroom and some nice amenities. Breakfast was warm buffet style, restaurant was closed on Sunday evening before our departure, so we found some nice places downtown at Lange Gasse (comfortable coffee shop) and Neuer Markt. Please not that it is a 15 min walk to these downtown adresses and 5 mn more to Warnow river and its restaurant secenery. Around the station itself there is nothing much to see (sights, business) or do (eat and drink). Rates are usually competitive, except during conventions or the Hanse Sail week.

This is a great hotel. We paid about 60 euro for a double room. Everything was very clean and the beds were nice. The hotel is right next to the train station. It's not that far of a walk to downtown. I would come back to this hotel again!

Dieses war ein großartiges Hotel. Wir zahlten ca. 60 Euro für ein Doppelzimmer. Alles war sehr sauber und die Betten waren schön. Das Hotel liegt direkt neben dem Bahnhof. Ins Zentrum war es auch nicht weit. Ich würde wieder in dieses Hotel gehen!

We spent a week in the Intercity hotel in Rostock in March and found the staff some of the best we found in Europe. The rooms were spotless, and well serviced every day. The breakfast was amazing. The one time we did have some noise outsied our room. The staff moved on the people making the noise. Then the next day they gave us a lovely fresh fruit platter and beer. Between 5 hotels in five weeks throughout Germany and Austria we found this hotel to be as good as anything we paid twice as much for. Plus the people in the city are great. So friendly and helpful.I would definetly recommend this hotel and this city to anyone thinking of staying here. PS: the local brewery makes one of the best Pilzners i had in Germany. So make sure you try a "Rostocker Pilzner" or three !

Wir waren im März für eine Woche im Intercity Hotel in Rostock und finden, dass das Personal dort das Beste in ganz Europa ist. Die Zimmer waren tadellos sauber und wurden täglich komplett gereinigt. Das Frühstück war einfach spitze. Als wir ein einziges Mal von Lärm belästigt wurden, waren die Angestellten sofort zur Stelle, um diese Gäste zu Recht zu weisen. Am nächsten Tag bekamen wir dann eine sehr leckere Obstplatte und Bier. Unter all den 5 Hotels, in denen wir in Deutschland und Österreich gewohnt hatten, fanden wir, dass dieses sogar mit denen mithalten konnte, für die wir doppelt soviel zahlen mussten und die Menschen in dieser Stadt sind einfach klasse. So freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich kann diese Stadt und dieses Hotel wirklich jedem weiterempfehlen. Übrigens, die heimische Brauerei braut hier das beste Pils, was ich in ganz Deutschland getrunken habe. Also probieren Sie unbedingt das "Rostocker Pilsner", wenn Sie dort sind!
