A very pleasant hotel situated on the edge of the town center, and just a short taxi ride from the main line train station. To get into the town center you just walk across the road from the hotel, to find a good range of resurants, bars and cafes. Good Italian resurant at the rear of the hotel, along side the river, worth a look !! The rooms at the hotel were very clean and comfortable, with a small bathroom and shower. The only down side to our stay was the traffic noise from the main road at the front, although we were offered a room at the back of the hotel for an extra 10 Euro's per night, at check in. With the double glazing shut though noise is minimal. The hotel staff spoke good english and were happy to help with any querries. Overall a very pleasant experience in a beautiful town,and i would go back tomorrow!!!

We spent one night in Celle this summer (by the way a lovely city. We´re difinately going back some day. Were charming) The hotel appears to be refurnished in the late 90´s, and the decor was simple and not all that attractive. No soul and charm, this hotel could have been located anywhere in the world and you wouldn¨t know the difference. But it seemed new and well take care of, it was very clean and effective. There were no air-condition in the room (at least that was working) and we had two rooms, one in the front and one in the back. Ask for one in the back, ut was both cooler and less noice from the traffic. The staff were friendly the breakfast was very good.

This is a modern chain hotel, similar to an Ibis, with the usual sort of good standard accommodation - a safe bet to stay at. Often this sort of hotel is out of town, but in this case it's literally across the road from the stunning old town with it's streets of colourful half-timbered buildings. Also the desk staff were friendly and helpful

This modern Steigenberger Hotel is located only a few steps from the old part of this beautfiul maedivial City of Celle with timber buildings dating back to the 16th Century. The hotel is located where once a traditional grammar School was situated. Ask for a room in the back as traffic could be quite noisy at times. Rooms are functionally furnished (scandinavian style) but rather small which also are the bathrooms with shower only. Breakfast buffet (not included in all rates) is ok including quality coffee and service. For dinner I would choose one of the many restaurants in nearby old town rather than eating in the nondescript dining room attached to the bar and reception. Although this is a business hotel also catering to small groups and conventions they make the individual traveller welcome.

Dies ist eine moderne Hotelkette, ähnlich wie das Ibis und bietet den üblichen, guten Standard in der Unterkunft. Eine sichere Wahl. Diese Art Hotels liegen oft außerhalb der Stadt, dieses liegt aber direkt gegenüber von der tollen Altstadt mit Straßen die voll von holzverkleideten Häusern. Die Angestellten am Empfang waren freundlich und hilfsbereit.
