My mother and I stayed at the Roma dei Papi for 3 nights while visiting Rome. The rooms were impecably clean, the bathrooms were spacious and it was overall a lovely experience. Breakfast in the morning is served in the little dining area and it's plentiful and very good. The hotel staff was incredibly nice and helpful - and although a few of them spoke very little English, it wasn't frustrating at all, they were so patient to work through the language barrier! The only difficulty we had with this hotel was finding it! There is no signage on the building for the hotel or the address, so we were lugging our bags around for quite some time trying to find it! But, the location is wonderful, just across the street from Castel San'Angelo and about 2 blocks from St. Peter's/Vatican City.

The perfect location within 20-30 minute easy walk from much of what of what Rome has to offer. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful especially during the crisis of being the victim of pickpocking at the Pantheon. The room was small but extremely comfortable and clean. Coffee, espresso and baked goods were available everymorning, a COOP was two doors down the street and a number of good restaurants just around the corner. I would highly recommend this small hotel to anyone who wishes to experience our favorite city in the world.

This is a lovely little hotel a stone throw from the vatican. The staff are helpful and the owner who was out on arrival insisted on returning to meet us and show us the best places to go. The breakfast is great and i cant see what the problem with other reviewers is. Overall a superb little hotel and cant recommend it enough Andy, Stoke, England

The hotel is a nice place to stay in Rome. It is close to vatican and is in a very beautiful locality. Very short walk to the fantasic piazza novona and the spanish steps. The rooms are clean and neat although the shower is very small. The staff are EXTREMELY gracious and helpful and that alone makes up for any other minor niggle (average breakfast, small noise creep). Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Papi de charme and definitely recommend it.

Stayed at this hotel from 9/19 - 9/22/07. Hotel staff are excellent - very helpful and kind. Gave great advice on directions, dining, etc. Room is simple but clean. Hotel is perfectly situated for visiting all the main sites by foot. Highly recommend and would definately return. Breakfast a little sparse but common for Europe.
