I stayed at Sugar Hotel for 4 nights and the hotel was super and the staff lovelly. Very clean and also thoughtful - whatever I needed the hotel could not do enough to help or be nice to me.
Would definately go back.

We booked the Sugar Hotel for a family holiday over New Year 2007. On the website the hotel looked great - but didn't show that the hotel is right beside the motorway running through Cape Town. The rooms were a good size and facilities in general were fine. The staff were extremely unhappy - I had imagined a small boutique hotel managed my friendly owners but the owner never even took the time to introduce himself even though we were staying for 9 nights in his hotel. Service at breakfast was extremely slow and they even ran out of the most common items.

Sugar Hotel is Great
Guest name: DKB-LA, Los Angeles
We stayed at the Sugar Hotel for 5 days and loved it. It is a small hotel (7 suites) very close to the Waterfront area. Everything is new and first class. The style is very modern and our suite had bunk beds in the second room, which was great for our daughter--plus they had a free Playstation in the kids room. Breakfast was included, but ala carte, so you were not bound by buffet hours. And the best part was the staff; they were very friendly and helpful. This was definitely superior to being in a large hotel. We were there for leisure, but it would be perfect for a business traveler too. Free WiFi in every room and a communal computer in the lobby. You couldn't ask for more.
