The Cannery Pier Hotel is the perfect hotel to stay in while visiting Astoria. The rooms are large with lots of light . The view is mesmerizing.. The staff is professional and the amenities are MANY.
Most importantly, they are PET FRIENDLY with a twist of sophistication.

This is a lovely hotel. Perhaps one of the nicest I have stayed at. Unfortunately we only had time for a one night stay but it was great. Our room was beautifully decorated and like all the rooms, I believe, looked out at the awesome Columbia River. It was a treat to watch the large shipping boats go by our window. The views are memorable. The complimentary bikes are a great addition to the amenities offered and lots of fun to drive along the river bike path. I highly recommend staying here.

We arrived for an extended weekend at the Cannery Pier Hotel. We had been once before to the hotel for a seafood package with a local restaurant in town but when we called for a reservation the front desk said they were unaware that they had ever had a package like this. We decided to book anyway. The hotel is lovely with a very nice architectural design that allows a view from many angles. The front desk agent was gracious, but once again had no clue about the seafood package we were referring to. We asked for recommendations for dinner and were highly recommended to eat at their Bridgewater Bistro. We arrived to our room which was nicely appointed. I asked the room attendant for bottled water and she informed me that they were all out. We relaxed with the fabulous view and planned our weekend. We took the hotels sole recommendation for dinner at the Bridgewater and were dreadfully disappointed. Very below average food and bordering on terrible customer service. We decided to not ask for recommendations any more and try on our own to find the restaurant associated with the package we previously had for it was one of our reasons for coming back here. We walked along the boardwalk to town which was lovely. We caught the trolly along the way which is a must for a little bit of Astoria history. We spent most of the day strolling in town. We found our favorite restaurant via the locals advise. They had moved to a corner spot near the liberty and I'm not sure the Cannery Pier knows they are open. They are not doing the package with the hotel anymore, but our experience there was outstanding and embedded in our memories as perfect. The walk back on the boardwalk that evening was romantic and when we approached the Cannery Pier it was glowing in the moonlight. We arrived back to our room and there was a bottle of water. We will come again.
