"This hotel changed ownership early on in 2007. The new owners, who also own Hotel Nevada, have done a wonderful job at re-vamping the interior and exterior. Staff were friendly, and helpful. I would say this is the best hotel in Nevada, which justifies the reasonable room charge at $69.- Nice bar area..."

This hotel changed ownership early on in 2007. The new owners, who also own Hotel Nevada, have done a wonderful job at re-vamping the interior and exterior. Staff were friendly, and helpful. I would say this is the best hotel in Nevada, which justifies the reasonable room charge at $69.- Nice bar area, pool is clean and there is a gym, albeit rather small.

I wanted a room for $30.00 they charged me $94.00 because they ran out with out even telling me. After I had signed the paper I didn't even notice the charge for $94.00 and then the clerk asked me if it was ok. I said NO and I want my money back. The clerk said ok and agreed 2 days later I get a charge on my account from the holiday inn. I called and they wont refund me my money because they said I use the room and I never set foot in to it. I'am now taking them to court with 4 witness saying I never set foot into the room.

This place is HIGHLY over priced! $75 dollars for a dirty room! The carpet was trashed. Everything was dirty in the room. The only thing that saved it was the pool was ok. The help was decent, or at least the girl in the morning was nice. The bald guy at night wasn't the brightest. He tried to bill me $200 dollars at first, for 1 night! The restraunt was horrible! They were very slow, and it was only us and one other couple in there! The food wasn't very good either. I would stay away. The only reason we went was they had the best looking pool online! Pictures are decieving. Read the reviews...

When I saw the unfriendly outside from the Motel 6 in Ely, I cancelled my reservation and drive to the Holiday Inn in Ely. Friendly staff and a clean room, and the food in the Restaurant was great, if I'll come back to Ely, I'll stay another night in the Holiday Inn.
