fab time in romana residence

myself and the rest of my party of 9 other ladies aged 21-60
had a great time at this hotel.the location was great for sightseeing,as the main square were you find the dunamo catherdral and the main shopping districts was only 10-15 mins walk away.you could also pick up the milan open top bus tour on the road just by the dunamo which is recomended.
if you wanted bars of a night you will have to travel out just alittle bit but not too far.i travelled using a low cost airline which took me to bergamo airport which is an hour away from milan central
so i would recomend you get the coach service avaliable which you can collect just outside arrivals you can buy the tickets there
or some of the uk airports sell them before you go away and you can buy rtn or single trip tickets.the hotel was clean and tidy and the rooms were of a good side.i hope everyone finds my review helpful.

We stayed at Romana Residence for a quick shopping getaway in December. The rate was good compared to what else I was able to find (80euros including breakfast). The room was fine and the kitchenette would have been handy if we'd stayed longer - though the room would have been quite small if we had stayed longer than 1 night. The bathroom was fine as well.
The decor is quite dated, but all was clean which is what is ultimately important.
I'd recommend the Romana if you're looking to save on your accomodations while in Rome and want a clean, central place- and really, who's in Rome to stay in their room!
It's about a 15 minute walk to the Duomo (though there are lots of trams too) and about a 7 minute taxi ride to the Cordonia Station where the Malpensa express gets in. There are plenty of restaurants in the neighbourhood if you don't want to venture far - we actually even had a decent dinner in the hotel's restaurant.

Upon our arrival we were immediately shown the great European hospitality. From our check-in to departure we could not have been more pleased with their desire for our comfort and safety. The spacious rooms with comfortable furnishings and the cleanliness must be mentioned. Our hostess Rosi who greeted us each morning with a smiling buon giorno as we came to the breakfast buffet was such a great start to our days. The staff is multi-lingual for all of us english speaking travelers who have not mastered the Italian language enough for travel. Do not hesitate to book this great hotel with a wonderful location near the Crocetti subway stop on Line 3. You are in a short walkable distance from the major sites of Milano. Your staff will assist you with directions and suggestions for your sight-seeing peasure. There are not enough stars for our recommendation of this great hotel and staff.

4 stars? you gotta be kidding me. giving it 2 stars is being kind.
The guy at the reception had 'not interested' written on his face. Check in literally only took one minute because he only handed me the key without any briefing of the area, showing us the map or letting know where the breakfast area was and time etc.
We were given a junior suite (room 507 i think). It was dark and stingy with all the furnitures dated and scrached. the bathroom is even more shocking.
Having read other reviews, I'm not sure whether I was unlucky or else. Anyway, the stay totolly ruined our 3 days in milan.
