I truly felt from the first moment I walked to that front desk that I was simply inconveniencing the staff. I did not find one staff member at this hotel that would even attempt crack a smile, or be even half pleasant. They were down right rude.
The building shown on the picture is not really the whole truth. The so called 'hotel' is burried up on the top floor of this residential building, with very bad and frustrating signage. It took a while just to find where it actually is.
The hallway in the hotel start nice and wide, then turn into a narrow white, hospital like corridor you can barely get your suitcase through.
There was absolutely no decor in the room... it felt more like a dorm room... meaning white wash dirty walls without even one picture on he wall. For $175 Euros, I was expecting way more.
The bathroom was dirty, with the last guests hair all over the floor... disgusting! Vanity shelf was broken off and there was black mold all around the corners of the shower.
The WIFI internet does not work in the room... only in the lobby and it only worked the first day. Following days it was down and I was told by the staff that it's not their problem, to call tech support my self.
The breakfast was not bad but not one piece of fruit to be found anywhere... even a banana would have been great.
The keys on the room door are from the turn of the century and can easily be opened with probably a bread knife, so I did not feel the my belongings were secure at all.
Location was decent and I would give that the only upside. Otherwise I would stay clear of this place. Truly a very disappointing experience.

A friend of ours living in Rome reserved us this hotel for a leisure trip I did with my family..
We had 3 rooms on the back side of the building and we really liked our stay.
Excellent staff, lovely clean rooms, nice breakfast in the morning.
We spent 4 days in Rome walking a lot around, seeing all the magnificence of this wonderful city.
We loved the little restaurants in the centre, the friendly roman people..we felt in love for this city.
I hope we' ll have the chance to come agin and for sure we will come back in this hotel.

Only by case we discovered this hotel.
We arrived in Rome by car and we passed by the hotel and we decided to ask for a family room.
They were very helpful and the location and the price given was very convenient.
Excellent staff, they helped us to park the car and more during our stay.
The room was big as well as the bathroom. We were impressed of the beautiful ceiling dated 18Th Century.
We walked from the Hotel to the Vatican, the Spanish Steps, Navona Square and so on..all was very close to us.
We liked our stay, we were lucky to find this hotel!

We arrived from Barcelona 3/14 and made our way to the Ara Pacis by hired car. The Hotel entrance was difficult to find - dark entrance leading to an elevator with the lobby of the hotel being on the 2nd floor. We checked in and were taken to our room fairly quickly - up and around a few sets of stairs - The room was dismal to say the least. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls and what paint you could see was absolutely filthy, the bed was sunken in the middle and after pulling back the sheets we saw that they were a dirty gray colour. The doors leading to the balcony did not have any locks (this was an open balcony serving several rooms on our floor) This did not match the lovely pictures we saw on their website by any means. So we asked for another room and explained why we did not care for the present one. We were shown room number 2 - which was actually worse than the first one, now off to room number 3 which was off the sitting/lounge area from the lobby. This was a tad cleaner (but not by much) so we brought the suitcases down and I checked out the bed - upon looking up there was a separation between the door and the door frame with a perfect view of the
lounge area. We had enough, left the hotel found another and returned for our baggage and to check out. At this point they tried to show us yet another room (which would have been #4) we declined and said they were falsely advertising on their website and we would be addressing it when we returned home. So here it is. The hotel is a solid one star or below if that's possible.

I think the location of the hotel is great, it is in the centre of most things and within walking distance to most of the main sites.
The room was very dark and dingy, with very little lighting and in need of decoration. The rooms were clean and linen was changed daily, but the staff were not very helpful and the breakfast could have been better.
There were no views of rome from the hotel, like shown in pictures on the hotels own website.
Ideal place to stay if you are not after the little luxuries in life, like a cooked breakfast or decent cup of coffee/tea!!
