Excellent contemporary tech hotel(free laptop and internet in room) very clean and comfortable. Great location for city and sightseeeing ,free coffee and water machines in lobby. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Only tiny minor was immediate location of hotel, tucked away in quiet corner was nice but all the local dossers thought so too!

We stayed here for our honeymoon. As we read earlier, the location could not have been better. Just steps away from the heart of the city, and Plaza del Sol. There were plenty of places in the area that had English menus.
The hotel itself was very nice. The staff was very very friendly and everyone that we dealt with spoke English. It was a very "high tech" hotel. The bathroom was huge and our room was a decent size. I've stayed in smaller in Canada. We had the double room, which was really just two single beds pushed together.
The breakfast was included in our price, and the buffet was very nice. It did not change from day to day, but there was always something good to eat. Plenty of fresh fruit and pastries daily.
All in all it was a pleasant stay.

I stayed here with two friends for one evening midweek and was really impressed with the price/quality relationship.
Having lived in Madrid for many years previously, I know the city very well and this is really an unbeatable location. It is literally less than one minute's walk from c\Preciados and the "Oso", which is the bear sculpture in Puerta del Sol (a popular meeting place as it's so central). In other words it's right smack bang in the centre of the city.
We had a triple room - which I was a little apprehensive about as I'm not that used to sharing - but it was big and spacious. The super-high ceilings also helped give a feeling of space. There was a large TV and a laptop!(!) which we didn't use, but AFAIK was available for guests to access the web. I don't know if there was a charge, but even if there were, it's hugely convenient.
The bathroom was really cool and contemporary - giant shower and really clean and new sanitaryware.
The foyer is cool and spacious, and there's free water and coffee during the day. It's really sympathetically restored also, with exposed stone and huge beams next to smooth, slick finishes.
I will definitely be staying there in future trips to Madrid and have already recommended it to lots of people verbally. We booked it through www.hostelworld.com.

Have just come back from a four night stay at this hotel. Was disappointed that the room was much smaller than expected and on arrival the bathroom bin was overflowing with the last guests rubbish. The bathroom itself was large with a good shower though I didn't find the water hot enough and we both found the beds extremely hard and uncomfortable. There was a laptop which was great and a flat screen TV but only Sky news available in English.
The square is not very attractive as building is still going on but the location is very central and the staff quite helpful especially in booking us an airport bus that picked us up at the hotel and took us to the airport for 21euros. We took the metro when we arrived which was great value (1 euro) but which also involved a lot of walking and carrying heavy suitcases up and down flights of stairs ! Also a long walk to the metro from the airport.
We loved Madrid - a very elegant city - but would probably stay somewhere else next time.
