What a great hotel, small, boutique style with very friendly and helpful staff. We felt really at home in this hotel for the 3 nights we stayed there. It is in a wonderful location to catch all the sights on foot or by metro depending on how many cafes you want to visit and how much wine you want to drink along the way!
The superior room was great with a huge bed. All in all this is really great value for money considering it is the centre of Paris beside the Champes Elysees!
Only one downside is that maybe the cleaning staff should ensure that they get into all the nooks and crannys of the rooms, especially the floors. The room was clean, this is just attention to detail that would make it even better.
I highly recommend the hotel if you are after great value loaction and not the grandeur of the Bristol or Ritz.

The hotel is in a very good location. Although the room is small, it is decorated very nicely. the furniture is very chic. We were on the 6th floor and had a nice view of Eiffel tower from our window. It is very close to the main shopping area and nice restaurants. The subway is very close too.

I've stayed at many hotels around Europe and the world, most of them extremely nice (four and five star). In terms of service, this hotel matches any of them. I arrived on a Sunday, a bit flustered. I had left my cell phone in the taxicab and came to discover that it was not a "genuine" cab and my paper receipt gave me little to go on. Lauren, the young man who worked the front desk, was a godsend. He was unfailingly polite when I tried to speak French (speaking French back), but also fully conversant in English. He immediately took a copy of my cab receipt to make telephone calls, alert the Lost & Found and contact the police department to file a report. He suggested that I use the hotel's phone to make a long distance call to my own phone without any hesitation. He was very kind and me feel at home immediately.
I had arrived on the day that the Roland Garros (French Open) final was being played between Nadal and Federer. I asked him if he could get tickets - not something I genuinely expected him to be able to produce given that the final was going to start in 3 hours and it was a blockbuster event. I had planned on simply going down to the stadium and seeing what the scalpers were offering, though that is always risky. To my great surprise and delight, within five minutes, he had managed to locate a ticket in a fantastic seat (I had checked Ebay and craigslist for weeks and only found one equally good seat). The price was well above face value but 1/3 of what I was seeing elsewhere. He managed to have a ticket delivered in 30 minutes and even added it to my hotel tab so that I could pay for it the next day. He made sure that I was well equipped to get there and back (and seemed genuinely disappointed that he didn't have a Metro ticket on his person that he was going to offer me for free). He also handled exchanging my own currency without the surcharges that the most hotels do. In short, wow, I'm an American and have never had service like this in Paris!
The hotel itself was also very nice. The lift is indeed small as the reviews have said (I cannot imagine getting multiple persons with luggage into it), but it is charming. I had Room 500, which was very nice. It is spacious with one of the largest bathrooms I've had in Paris. A much nicer room than the K&K Cayre. Nice desk, high ceilings, draperies, modern and comfortable bed that seemed like a king-size, artwork and the largest bathroom I've experienced in Paris. The photos really do not do it justice. It's a modern, chic room with very large beds for you travelers tired of getting the twin sized bed or couples wanting a king. Not much of a view, though I did get plenty of sunshine in this and the bathroom window - but it was incredibly quiet, could not hear a thing, which I would take over a view any day.
Oh, how wonderful to have real wireless internet! You have to pay a fee through SwissCom, but it works throughout the hotel with no problems and there are ample plugs for your computer. It did not have problems going in and out like many hotels (including the K&K) and even the Monceau and other upscale hotels. There are flat screen very modern plasma televisions in the room, a room safe and what appeared to be additional computers/printer downstairs (though I didn't use those). As a business traveler, internet is one of the most important things to me and this one was fast, trustworthy and worked everywhere.
The location is great - steps away from the metro (line 9) and shops and restaurants everywhere. There was a nice bakery and cafe right around the corner. Neighborhood seems very safe and nice, again, an improvement over the K&K, and frankly, more charming cafes and restaurants than directly around some of the higher end hotels (Monceau).
There is no question that a small boutique hotel cannot compare to the grandeur of the entrance at, for example, the Georges V, but in terms of service, it matches or exceeds them all with no trace of arrogance or condescension, and the rooms are comfortable and spacious at a fantastic price. I will definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone I know. Thank you, Lauren and the rest of the hotel staff, for a fantastic experience.
