Scandic hotel Taby is an OK hotel with nice breakfast.
Don't expect any views as this hotel is just next to the highway.
As it's only 18km from the centre of Stockholm, are you looking for more than just a night's sleep, I'd stay somewhere else.
Free parking, and location makes it a good place to stay, should you arrive late at night and not expecting any sightseeing.
Although in the summer - there are some nice places to go swimming only 5 min drive away. And for shopping, the large mall/shopping centre of Taby is a 10 min walk away.

Hotel gives a dingy impression ... standard rooms extremely cramped with tiny creaky beds and almost no floor space. Rooms feel stuffy and stagnent with no airconditioning. No closet space, disgusting bathrooms that smell of mold and mildew. The soap and shampoo bottles are fixed to the wall and smell like they've been equipped with a paint thinner additive. Breakfast was a dissappointment overall with slimy bacon and fake scrambled eggs (powdered or something, but definitely have never seen a chicken).
I was ready to check out and find something else when I was told there were king sized beds. The king room was much better, but in reality a queen bed. Bathroom was still same musty smelling type.
All in all, I'd never stay there again - the only plus was that it was close to the motorway.
My overall rating is gross and substandard.

Stayed here two separate nights. each for around 700 Kr. First night we had a room facing the motorway - as it was very hot we had the window open (no a/c) and it was noisy. Shouldn't be a problem outside the summer though. Second stay we were at the back of the building, overlooking woods - much quieter. Overall, nothing special but all the qualities of a basic Scandic, in a very convenient location near to the motorway. Wifi free but intermittent. However, one nice touch is a computer and printer in the lounge.
