We stayed 3 nights at Copenhagen Island Hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful! Our room was on the harbour side, and had a nice view. The room was very clean, nice and modern!
The breakfast was great, a lot to choose from!
The hotel is not situated in central Copenhagen, but the trainstation is a 5-minute walk from the hotel. The train is cheap and it takes only about 5 minutes to central Copenhagen.
GREAT hotel!! :)

We arrived in Copenhagen by car and without having booked any accommodation and were offered discounted price on 3 nights in a Superior Double at the Copenhagen Island by a very efficient guy at the main tourist office.
The hotel was perfect for us because we had the car - we managed to get a parking space in the car park (with paid permit from hotel) and we were happy enough to walk the 10-15 mins into the centre or take the train (5 mins) as a trade off for not worrying about moving the car at all while there.
The room was very modern and extremely clean. The bathroom was spotless. The room had motion-activated lights which come on if you get up in the night to go the toilet - this gave us a fright on a couple of occasions!
We had a view of the water. As others have stated there was building work going on across the water from the hotel but this was only happening during the day and had no impact on us whatsoever. In fact, I would say that we found the location extremely quiet and relaxing for a capital city. One morning we went for a run along the riverside and it was lovely. There is a large shopping centre with cinema next to the hotel and we shopped there and went to the cinema. We were out with friends in the Westerbro area on two of the nights and the hotel was ideally situated for a not too long stroll (stagger?) home at the end of the night.
We also found the staff extremely helpful and efficient. We noticed that there were queues to get in for breakfast as we were leaving having had ours each morning, which could have been annoying I suppose, but we weren't up ridiculously early - around 9ish.
All in all, we had a very enjoyable stay and I'd go back.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks on business. I got a room with a view over the harbour.
The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are modern and comfortable although on the small side.
I paid about ?150 a night including breakfast, which I guess was reasonable for copenhagen.
Both the nearby train station and boat dock mean that transport links are very good.
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

After a 13.5 hour flight from Singapore this hotel looked great. It is modern, clean and airy. rooms are small, but moderate by european standards. Front Office staff were off hand but I think that quiet efficiency is normal for Denmark. It is a 10 minute train ride to CBD once you master the system, and about 20 minutes walk. (A lot more coming home!) The beds were really comfortable and the place was spotlessly clean. The window to the bathroom/toilet it a bit "off putting". We never ate there, it seemed expensive. There was plenty of choice in the shopping centre next door.
When we walked past other places we had concidered we were pleased with our choice even if it was a small way out. (15 mins from Tivoli)
They had a business area with free access to e m@il and printers. It's worth getting a view, it is magnificent by Copenhagen standards.
