I really did enjoy my stay at this hotel, but that was mostly because I truely enjoyed everything we did in Paris.
The reception staff are very friendly, escpecially the older Turkish Man that works the night shift!
The rooms are tiny, but get over it, the building is exceptionally old and has more character than you could shake a stick at. I has a room that had a Bathtub/Shower in the bathroom, which I believe is a much better option than the shower stall... ask for a room with a bathtub.
There is definitely a lot of noise that comes through the walls from the lobby, plumbing, and snoring neighbours!
The convenience is tangible. You are a 1 minute walk from the Rome Metro station, or a seven minute walk to St. Lazare (that connects to differnt lines.. sometimes a better idea than transferring four or five times). You can walk to Montmarte in 15 minutes and can see the Sacre Couer as soon as you round the corner off Rue de Moscue.
Place de Clichy is another few minutes away (like 3) and is a great spot to grab a drink at night.
Enjoy yourself and don't sweat the small stuff.

When I booked this hotel for my and my boyfriend's 6 night anniversary trip stay I had no expectations other than it was a cheap hotel in a good location. What met us was a wonderful surprise. Some of the loveliest staff I have ever come across (and I've travelled a lot), beautifully decorated reception, lounge and dining room, decent night-life only a 5min walk away at Place de Clichy, Montmartre and the Sacre Coeur only a 15min walk away (great if you want to stay out past the metro closing) and an incredibly convenient 2min walk to a metro station. Yes, the rooms were small, but when you're paying under £50 a night it's a small sacrifice to make: all of Paris is on your doorstep. Clean, cheerful and adequately provided for, it's the perfect crashpad after a hard day's sightseeing.
