I am just back from a 3-day business stay at the Palmon Opera hotel.. The hotel seemed quite nice on the internet site but when I got there, what a bad surprise! Not only the air conditionning stank (as mentionned by another user), but indeed the whole room, probably because of the insalibriously dirty carpet. The stool was spoiled with painting and other undefinable stuff so that I has to cover it with a towel before sitting down. The matress was also quite bad. Bathroom is very small and the shower is cornered behind the closet and you could not have a shower without flooding the whole bathroom.
Honnestly, the worst thing was the very bad smell and dirty filled carpet and I am quite surprised by some good reviews on this page mentionning the cleanliness, maybe they got another kind of room... I am maybe to demanding because I work in the hotel industry, but I also travel very much for work and this is really not a good hotel, especially for business travellers.

We stayed at this boutique hotel this November for one week with my husbnad.
The hotel has some very good points :-
a) is near the Metro Cadet station (only 5 min walking) and only
2stations from the Opera. This metro line is very good and
have very good connections with the other metro lines.
b) the area is ok, nothing special but for sure you are not
afraid walking in the night.
c) is very clean, we had room service every day and the
bathroom is new!!!!!!
d) the breakfast was cool bouffee, with bread, croisant, ham,
cheese, yogurt, cereals, milk, coffee, tea, juice (not fresh) and
eggs.
d) the atmosphere of the hotel was friendly and well decorated
e) we have hot water with no problem 24hrs
f) the heater was working 24hrs
The minus points are few
a) only that our room no.30 had a big spot on the carpet in front
of the bed. I could imagine that they tried to cleaned but they
didnt manage to.
b) the rooms are small but it is difficult to find big rooms in Paris
When you are giving your critique for a hotel you have to consider the money you have paid. So for us for euro 85.00 per day including breakfast was very good value of money for a hotel near the Opera. I highly recommed this hotel for people who wants to travel and spend time discovering Paris and not spending time to fancy hotel with great sallons.
p.s. easy and cheap way to get to the hotel from the airport is to take the Roissy bus to Opera (euro 8.5) and then the metro to Cadet station (euro 1.4)

I was there, unfortunatelly, in the last september,27. I had reserved for two days, because the photos, . I thought that was a good place, but when I arrived I was chocked and just sleep one night and go away. They charged awfully high prices and about two nights. I have stayed just one night. They deserve half star no three. Take care about them. If you like to pay a good price and like a warmy and clean place, don't stay there. I was to Le Meridfien Etoile Hotel for the same price and it's a five star hotel.
