I stayed at the Mercure Tour Eiffel for a week while on business in Paris and found this to be a very good, although very basic, hotel. First of all, the location is wonderful and there is literally a metro stop directly outside of the hotel (but don't worry, I was never bothered by metro noise). Second, the rooms are very clean. They are basic and not large, but I had a very comfortable queen size bed and a desk at which to work... you really don't want to spend too much time in your room when in Paris anyway, right? Finally, the hotel staff was very friendly, whether speaking French or English. They also were helpful at reserving taxi's when I needed them for trips outside of the city center. The only caution: like many European hotels, there is only 1 iron in the whole building. They will bring it to your room if it is available, but it took me over 24 hours to be able to iron my dress clothes for my meetings. Overall: good hotel in the right location.

Enjoyed our stay and the bed was very comfortable. Everyone was very nice especially the bartender. The hotel was directly across from the metro. Restaurants in the area were mostly bistros; we finally found a good restaurant which was not bar food our last night.

Stayed here for 3 nights on a London/Paris tour. This hotel was excellent. It's clean, the rooms are very nice, the bathroom is beautiful, they do have air conditioning which actually blows cool air and the staff is very nice and helpful. Location is great, you can see the Eiffel Tower from the front of the hotel. If I went back to Paris I would stay here and I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is about 2-3 blocks from the Eiffel Tower and in a great area! The staff is very friendly and incredibly helpful. The bathroom area was excellent for a European hotel. Room service made a minor mistake then corrected it quickly and without additional charge. The next time I stay in Paris, this is the hotel I will stay in, again. I highly recommend.
