We chose to take my husband's mother here for her 70th birthday. My brother and wife had originally stayed here followed by my Mum and Dad. The hotel is very centrally located and is within walking distance of the main attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and the rooms and staff were great. Bit of a struggle getting just a drink out of the bar staff after a meal out, but we managed it! The reception staff were vey helpful and taxis we arranged with them were very reliable with no overcharging. Breakfast was more than adequate and set us up for the day. A word about Rome in general-be careful not to be overcharged everywhere but particularly restaurants. We had a substantial overcharge in a restaurant near the Trevi which my husband resolved. What made this more gaulling was the fact we revisited the restaurant because it was so good the night before, and I'm quite sure we were overcharged in a restaurant near the Colosseum though couldn't prove it as the bill wasn't itemised.

This is a great hotel in the best location possible. Literally 20 steps from the Trevi fountain, but it's on a side street so its not noisy. Ask for a quiet room like we did and you'll get one facing the courtyard.
Its a 5 minute walk to the Pantheon and a 10 minute walk to the Spanish steps. You can also walk to the Colluseum but it will take you about 20 minutes.
The hotel staff is extremely helpful. The rooms are spotless. The beds are really firm, but this has been a common experience for me in Italy (I like soft beds). The breakfast is fine. Don't listen to the bad reviews on this site - I would definitely stay here again.

Wow! This Hotel has it all!!! Great location near Trevi Fountain! Spotless, comfortable rooms and great marble bath. Quite modern for an ancient city. Front desk extremely nice ! Fun breakfast with a wide assorment of european biscuits and spreads. Great cappucino maker too! The Hotel Delle Nazioni felt like a home away from home. Stay there!!!! This hotel is a rare find. The best of the best!!!!!!!!

Stayed at this lovely hotel in April. Its location is fantastic, being down a quiet side street but minutes away from the Trevi Fountain.
The buffet breakfast met all requirements, only comment being there was not much hot food (scrambled eggs, bacon and boiled eggs) but there again it is a continental breakfact so plenty of breads, croissants, pastries, meat, cheese etc.
Rooms a little on the small side but perfect for a city visit. Lovely and clean with crisp bed linen. Bathroom was again on the small side but had a bath to soak the weary limbs after a day walking round the sites! Toiletries were stocked up on a daily basis.
Staff were pleasant and assisted with attempts at speaking italian.
We were invited to a enjoy a free welcome cocktail and nibbles on our first night which was a nice touch. The bar seemed to close early (approx 10.30/11) but then again so did other non hotel establishments.
All in all a very good base to explore this wonderful city.
