What a beautiful location right on the lake in one of Europe's prettiest towns.This hotel caters mainly for conferences and business and this perhaps explains why there are no facilities for guests to lounge outside and enjoy the fantastic views.Similarly there is no pool although you will be offered towels if you wish to swim in the lake. Breakfast was disappointing as the choice was very restricted although we enjoyed an excellent lunch on the terrace and two excellent meals in the main restauarnt. The bedroom was furnished in a very modern way and was very comfortable again with good views. The hotel is in a fanatstic location but a few simple changes like loungers in the gardens would make it more tourist friendly. Great conference venue.

I did not stay here, but I made a trip from my lovely Hotel Splendid one rainy day, to visit - possibly have lunch - enjoy the view, and maybe win enough in the casino to bring my family to beautiful Annecy. Walked in and "accidentally" walked into the "dining area" to look at the view - was "greeted" by an hysterical "matre de" (reminded me of a scene from The Wedding Planner - arms flying in the air!). When I explained I had n't realised it was the dining area -he appeared furious that I had entered his arena - and then when I asked for the casino he kept looking to the sky like I was an idiot! I decided then and there not to bother having a meal there. Then found out where the casino was and was "greeted" by some bored grump on the door - went in briefly but decided I would rather be in my comfort zone of my lovely hotel and the old town. What a shame about their attitudes - I certainly didn't let this spoil my lovely trip to Annecy but I think judging from other reviews they need to re- train their staff.

We stumbled upon this beautiful property as we traveled from the Loire Valley to the French Alps, They only had one suite left which where we enjoyed the sights, toured the village and then were rested enough to continue our trip. Everything about this hotel was superb!

We arrived at this magnificent hotel on the lake Annecy and were shown to our beautiful lakeside room. everything you could ask for in room standards The lakefron setting on Lake Annecy is gorgeous. The rooms are expensive, and small, in an art-deco style that took me by surprise. The staff certainly was only just adequate, but I really didn't find anyone overly helpful, and service was slow and not at all warm or personal. The hotel seems to rely on guests attending congresses and couldn't care less about individual guests-paying top dollar!!. The Dining facilities are awful, and on one evening the guests were served at low tables in the lounge as the "dining area" was taken up by a party attending a reunion. The food was expensive and not particularly good. We pulled out a day early Would certainly not recommend to anyone...

This hotel is absolutely amazing!! The scenery is magnificent and the service is excellent. If you have a chance to stay in this hotel, lake view room is a MUST! I highly recommend this hotel for at least, a once in a lifetime experience.
