I stayed at the Juliet Hotel in Downtown Lafayette just for fun. We live in Lafayette but wanted to have a little night out without worrying about driving home after dinner a beer tasting. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean and amazingly comfortable. I liked the iPod alarm clock and the large bathtub and we loved the big flat screen tv.

I chose this based on other reviews here and was very glad I did. This is a very luxurious boutique hotel located in the heart of downtown Lafayette. It's within a few blocks walk of dining and nightlife - just far enough away to be quiet and peaceful.
The staff are really wonderful. They're friendly and laid back - like most folks in Lafayette, but willing and able to do whatever is needed to make you feel at home and take care of your needs. I couldn't ask for more. The only thing missing is food - they will deliver breakfast to your room (for a price), but given the range of great restaurants in the neighborhood, that's not a big problem.
If you go, don't neglect to drop in to the Filling Station cafe across the street. Just an unpretentious, family-run bar & restaurant with great food and great people.

The hotel was a great surprise. I stayed for one night on a business trip and can't wait to go back. The rooms are large and VERY nicely appointed. The hotel is also in a convenient part of town. Short walking distances to all manner of restaurants and entertainment options. Here are my pros and cons.
Pros:
-Extrememly nice room
-Friendly staff
-Free WiFi access (very fast, not the slow crap you find at most hotels)
Cons:
-Thin walls and door. I heard music from the lobby and the chime on the elevator way too easily. Not unbearable for me, but light sleepers beware.
-My wakeup call was 30 minutes late. There is s computerized wakeup system that must have had the wrong time. Thankfully the alarm clock worked flawlessly.
If not for the two cons, I would have easily given this hotel a 5 star rating.

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Juliet while visiting family in the area over Christmas. It's a very nice boutique hotel in downtown Lafayette. Very conveniently located to several restaurants and watering holes on the main drag in downtown.
Not sure how long the hotel's been open, but considering there was a "now open" banner out front, can't have been long. Reason for pointing this out is that despite a great location and some nice amenities, the operation could use a few tweaks. In particular, breakfast was a bit of a hassle, as in we ultimately never ate ours. Attempted to order using door hang tag night before. About 15 min. before our food was to arrive the phone rings and we're told they don't have croissants. Okay, no big deal my wife says, how about a plain bagel. Response...not so much...strike two. Fair enough, let's keep it REALLY simple, how 'bout some toast?!? Wrong again, strike three, proceed directly to Starbucks, do not pass Go. I suspect the reason for this hiccup is that there isn't a kitchen on premises. All items on the menu were either microwavable or some type of bread. So, if you want a solid breakfast, roll out of bed and go elsewhere.
That being said, that was pretty much the only complaint we had. Otherwise the place was charming, very clean and comfortable. Rooms are large and feature huge garden tubs in the bath. Rooms also had Philips LCD flat screens w/ Dish which was a nice touch. The second floor landing had a couple of comfy couches situated in front of a gas fireplace.
Bottom line, we will definitely stay here again for future visits, but will bring our own croissants!

All the things are in place for the Juliet to be a great experience. The rooms are nicely appointed. However, there is no service and no way to get a manager on the weekend. For the price of the room, there should be more service. Parking was a problem for us as there are no signs telling you where to park .Also, they share a lot with a bar/restaurant that happened to be crowded when we got there so we had to park behind the hotel. No lighting, not paved and unfortunately ,later that night,my husband hit a low railing and dented the car door because of this. Internet service did not work when we arrived and the girl at the desk could not help and could not contact the manager. The policy is to NOT let you take the luggage cart out the back door, so you have to go all the way around the hotel to get to your car with the luggage cart. At this price, there should be at least one bellman. We were looking forward to a relaxing time with lots of service and there was none. One girl sitting at the desk offering little hlep. The second girl on shift finally offered to call the internet provider and they did get the wireless working. . .later. We will not return and it is unfortunate because this could be a great place with some refinements.
