This hotel is nothing of what it used to be. I live in Los Alamos and have put up family here many times. It used to be a good value. It is now an embarrassment.
Their website is not to be trusted as it is not kept up to date. Amenities are gone (including air conditioning and heating in some cases). Our last (emphasize LAST) experience there provided no breakfast, no heat in one room, well-worn rooms with stains on the walls and ceiling and floors, and furniture being disappearing throughout the 2 weeks (very odd). Management was NEVER available to talk with.

The guidebook we had listed this place as a Quality Inn. I tend to think the Quailty Inn baled on these guys b/c of poor managment, but that's just a theory.
The place looked a bit dreary on the outside, but I had called and reserved a cheap ($59/night) room with a king-size bed (thinking, of course, this was a Quality Inn.) The place next door looked scarier, and the Best Western was full, so we figured we could make do for a night. The hotel lobby and hallways smelled like smoke, but the non-smoking room we were staying in didn't, at least.
The room was clean but staying there was a bit depressing. It felt like a ghost town that had seen better days and didn't have much longer before going under.
There was a girl working the front who was on her 2nd day. She was friendly. There was a much less friendly guy working there. I get the feeling he hated his job and got pleasure from trying to make others share his misery.
The room is supposed to come with a continental breakfast, but you aren't doing yourself any favors by having this meal. I was using the business computer near the front desk and overheard the guy (speaking very loudly, so it wasn't hard to hear his comments through out the hotel!) speaking of how he only had 3 bowls of cereal to serve earlier that day for breakfast and was really embarrassed. He said someone had gone to the dollar store and gotten things for the next morning's breakfast...we decided to pass on the breakfast included in our stay.
If you just need a clean bed cheap and are coming in late, this is probably ok. I think it will go belly up in the near future, though.

The town of Los Alamos doesn't have much in it and there are only a few hotels. This hotel was picked based on other trip advisor reviews and the website. Well, it looks nothing like the website. It was very shabby, the a/c was broken, but they gave us a small fan. Luckily, it was not very hot, even though it was July. The hallways are dank and dark. We were only passing through, so we made the best of it. There is one old, slow computer for guests to use if you don't have a laptop. Breakfast was minimal--some cereals and coffee. I don't know what the other Los Alamos hotels look like, but this one was not great, or even good. Next time, we would just keep going to the next town.

This hotel was terrible, nothing in rooms worked. Including the ac. With a temp of 75 outside, the heat was still on in the rooms,
the temp in the room was 80. We are from Florida and used to the heat but this is just unreasonable. We opened the windows only to find no screens and cracked windows. The room smelled so we asked to air freshnser, we were given a bottle of bleach instead which lead to white spots all over bed spread and some of our clothes. The breakfast was ceral or white bread. The only reason why we stayed was he arrived at 8:00 pm and it was already paid for. You would be better off sleeping in car

This area offers very little in options, but this hotel represents the best value. Rooms include free breakfast and hi speed internet, which was important for me being that I had to work each evening. The staff was casual and friendly and didnt feel like I was a bother to them. Hotel within walking distance to only decent restaurant in town which was extra convenient.
Overall a decent stay at a decent price representing the best value I have found on the hill.
