Lovely Aetoma
Guest name: PhoenixMary, phoenix
Our stay at Hotel Aetoma was very pleasing and sweet. We were treated like we were at any 5 star property, with assistance in all areas of our trip. The hotel has five beautiful rooms and we stayed in the room that can accommodate four. (We had 2 adults, and 2 teenage children 16,14.) You would think that would be uncomfortable, however, it was far from it. The property itself was charming, with all it's history. The rooms, including the bathrooms, all remodeled, are just beautiful. The owner and staff would do anything to assist in making your stay a memorable one. We recommend the Hotel Aetoma if your looking for charming, sweet, and first class in a hotel property.
Happy American Traveller,
Mary

The Hotel Aetoma (really a small B&B) is a terrific choice in Nafplion. The rooms are classically elegant, clean, and well-equipped (including modern, usably-sized bathrooms and showers). The breakfast is excellent, offering considerable variety. The service is exceedingly friendly and helpful.
The Aetoma is located in a cozy, convenient part of Nafplion, close to the centre of town and yet removed from the party strip along the waterfront. We had no issues with noise.
One thing to note is that since the Aetoma is essentially a B&B, the 'front desk' isn't staffed at all hours, so you might want to communicate your planned arrival time in advance. Also, parking in lovely Nafplion, as everywhere in Greece, is an utter free-for-all, and while spots are available on the square in front of the building, you might end up parking further away, but I can't imagine that you'll have to walk more than a couple hundred metres.
Given the popularity and quality of the Aetoma, I'm frankly baffled as to why they don't charge much more money than they actually do. I thus contribute yet another glowing review with reluctance, since it will only encourage them.
Needless to say, you will need to book far in advance if you want to stay here, and there is no reason why you wouldn't.

Recently undergone major renovations to this small, family owned hotel. Located in the beautiful seaside town of Nafplio, it is on a small side street off the main square (road very narrow if you have large van-size car). Accomodations are spacious, beautifully decorated with very nice bathrooms. AC available if needed. Staff extremely helpful, breakfast very nice. Nafplio great location for visiting Mycenae and Epidavros as well as beautiful beaches and wine country. Excellent local wines.
