Paid just under £60 for a single room - this really WAS a single room - in the loft on the 6th floor (the lift only goes as far as floor 5!!) - single bed and small bathroom and shower. Very clean and perfectly adequate for a place to sleep. Do ask for a non-smoking room though!! The service was very friendly and the buffet breakfast more than adequate. Good location - about five minutes from both the train station and the main attractions of the city! So - all in all there is nothing to complain about - just not quite what I expected for a four start hotel!!!

Le petit déjeuner était vraiment horrible. Salade de fruits en conserve, café mauvais, pain blanc uniquement et un choix très limité d’autres produits. Il n’y avait pas de fruits frais et pas de coquetier pour les œufs durs. Nous avons dû changer de chambre après quelques problèmes avec le personnel. Les toilettes de notre chambre initiale ne fonctionnaient pas bien, ce qui aurait pu être risqué pour la santé même pour des voyageurs saisonniers !! Le personnel était froid. La situation est le principal atout de cet hôtel : il est central. Il y a un parking en face et à côté, du coup c’était assez bruyant la nuit. Les fenêtres s’ouvrent et peuvent être très dangereuses pour les jeunes enfants.

Nous avons séjourné dans cet hôtel en février. Il y avait une mauvaise odeur dans notre chambre (non fumeur), ainsi qu’à la réception et dans les escaliers. Ce qu’il y avait de bien c’était que les chambres étaient très grandes, les lits n’étaient pas trop durs et le prix était raisonnable. En revanche, l’Internet était très cher ! Les réceptionnistes de l’hôtel n’étaient pas très chaleureux comme on dit !!! Nous étions en retard de deux minutes le temps de sortir nos valises de la chambre avant de partir et ils ont fermé la porte ! Ils ne parlaient que l’anglais et le flamand, pas du tout le français ! J’ai été blessée par la réceptionniste qui m’a demandé si mon petit ami, ses enfants et moi-même étions une famille ! Devant d’autres personnes en plus. Quand je lui ai demandé pourquoi, elle m’a répondu qu’elle et ses collègues me trouvaient trop jeune pour avoir des enfants aussi grands. Pour un hôtel quatre étoiles, je m’attendais à une réception de qualité ainsi qu’à de la discrétion et un personnel multilingue, c’est la base !

We stayed in this hotel from 5-11th June and would not stay in it again! On arrival we were told that there was a leak and 2 of the floors were out of action, they sent us to another hotel (of theirs) and said they didnt know when the other hotel would be ready again. We had to pay for our taxi to the other hotel. Other hotel was clean and in good location, but not what we had paid for - we had paid for a 4* hotel. The next day we had to really insist on going back to the original hotel even tho' they tried to fob us off and said it wasnt ready. It seemed to me that they saw were were a young couple and thought they would save the "4*" hotel for the more mature, perhaps even local tourists?? (None of the comments in the guest book were in English?!) Eventually got to original hotel, room ok but firstly we couldnt get into it, then, and more seriously, we couldnt get out! After a lot of toing and froing with manager etc. we got room changed. Didnt see any evidence of workmen fixing the alleged leak and think this may have been made up as there were lots of people checking in and out during our stay. No restaurant, no room service, breakfast is 7-10am and is rubbish. Clean enough and good enough location but nowhere near 4* and we paid £375 through ebookers for this - not particularly cheap for what we got - didnt have the breakfast after we discovered what it was.

Das Frühstück war wirklich ganz schrecklich. Früchtesalat aus der Dose, dünner Kaffee, nur Weißbrot und eine ganz bescheidene Auswahl anderer Sachen. Kein frisches Obst, hartgekochte Eier ohne Eierbecher. Wir haben das Zimmer wechseln müssen, nach einiger Überzeugungsarbeit mit dem Personal, da das Zimmer eine defekte Toilette hatte, die selbst für einen erfahrenen Reisenden eine Gesundheitsgefährdung dargestellte!! Sehr unfreundliches Personal. Gut war dort die Lage, sehr zentral. Auf der anderen Straßenseite und nebenan gab es Parkplätze, daher war es nachts auch sehr laut. Die Fenster konnten auch ganz aufgemacht werden und stellten so eine Gefahr für kleine Kinder dar.
