Do not bother staying here.
Horrible dirty rooms with electrical sockets hanging off the walls.
The shower in the bath was about 5 foot high, so I had to do the limbo when showering!! (Shower curtain was also dirty)
The carpet in my room was so filthy I was scared to put my bare feet on it. The hotel staff were rude and you had to eat breakfast with plastic cutlery. I travel a lot with my job and I can honestly say this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in!!!!
Do yourself a favour and find somewhere else. On a plus note the location is very good if you don't mind staying in a [--] hole.

This was our final European hotel of eight in a trip through Scotland, Paris, Switzerland and Italy. It was the most expensive, and the worst by far. Our room (in fact, the whole hotel) was shabby and poorly maintained. The room TV was tiny, and did not work properly, the walls were scratched and dirty, the carpet was stained and the bathroom dark and dismal. The advertised internet access was not wireless, but only available on the one computer in the downstairs TV lounge. Don't be fooled by the website photos of the breakfast room showing nicely laid tables with steel cutlery - the rooms are cramped, the breakfast very basic and the only available cutlery is plastic (we had to take 3 knives because we usually broke one or two trying to cut the hard rolls!). It is a disgrace advertising this as a four star hotel - it is a poor two star.
-Disappointed Aussi

Our timeshare booked this hotel for us. After reading some of the terrible reviews, I was quite nervous about what to expect. The hotel is definitely not a 4 star. It may have been at one time. It is obvious that the owners have not spent much on updating the hotel. It's a shame, because some new carpet and paint would go a long way to brighten it up. Our room was large but drab and outdated.. That said, the bed was comfortable and the linens clean. The bathroom was large, very clean. It had bright blue and white tile, so did not seem as depressing as the room. It had a tub with shower, hot water and clean linens every day, so we were happy with that. Yes, the tv was small, but who goes to Rome to watch tv? Our room overlooked a busy street, so there was alot of street noise, traffic and people.
Many of the reviews addressed the buffet breakfast. There were a variety of breakfast choices and the menu did not vary the whole week we were there. The breakfast area was crowded, and the ambiance was zero, especially with the plastic utensils and bowls. They did have staff who would make espresso and cappucino, which was a plus. But the whole experience was like eating in one of the breakfast areas in a budget US motel.
We tought the desk staff, though not overly friendly, were helpful, and never rude. When we checked in, the tv was not working ( we liked to catch CNN at bedtime hoping to hear good news about the value of the dollar). I went to the desk to report it and a porter was asked to follow me up to the room to check it out. Our room was on the 3rd floor, but I always use the stairs. The young man ,obviously not happy about walking up 3 flights of stairs, muttered in Italian as he followed me to my room. The tv was beyond his repair. The desk clerk offered to move us to another room, but we declined. The tv was fixed the next morning. The location of the hotel is a big plus. We walked to all the major attractions. It seems there are crowds of people on the streets at all hours, and we always felt safe.
