Have just returned from a very pleasent stay at the Villiers Hotel. Although the room we had wasnt over large, it was nevertheless quite adequate. My only complaints (and this is an individual like or dislike) I prefer a duvet, hate heavy blankets, and the windows did not open. When I was chatting to the receptionist she explained that was due to us being in a room at the front of the hotel where the windows are double glazed to keep out traffic noise. Had we been staying longer they would have been more than happy to change our room. The staff are lovely, friendly, helpful and polite. Rare these days!! I mustnt forget to mention the restaurant. excellent service and wonderful food. My husband had steak and kidney pie, which he said just melted in your mouth!

My wife and I have stayed at the Villiers several times because of business. First things first, the rooms are not perfect - they are good. The showers do have somewhat a mind of their own. However they are comfortable and well fitted.
The Villiers is centrally located in the town, with reasonable parking. The food is also excellent and attracts business every day of the week.
The hotel's big plus is the service. It wins hands down over any national chain, such as Holiday Inn. The personal service is excellent, with staff being very attentive and remebering us when we arrived for a second visit - good old fashioned British values haven't been lost; at least in Buckingham.
I rarely give 5 stars for a review and with accommodation that is a little tired in places, this would get 4 stars. Its the service that makes the difference and this has made it a 5 star experience.
Thanks to all the hard work and attentiveness of staff!

The Villiers is a quaint hotel in the centre of this market town. It has a very good restaurant and its own pub which is very busy on a Saturday evening.
The executive rooms are large with a good sized, if slightly bland, bathroom.
The rooms have all the amenities you would expect and large comfortable beds.
The hotel is a bit of a maze with the rooms arranged around a circular pattern and would not be very suitable for those with disabilities.
The wireless was only available in the public areas and not the rooms.

My son had his wedding reception at this hotel and along with a number of other guests we stayed the night. I cannot speak too highly of the quality of the food and the service we were given. The bedrooms were spacious and tastefully decorated. My 12 year old grandson was really impressed and said he would like to live there!
