My wife, my son (aged 6) and I stayed at the hotel for a few days in July and were highly impressed with the location, scenery, and quality of the experience. It was opened in 2007 and is a modern spacious and quiet place to spend a few days. It is a perfect base from which to tour the Ring of Kerry. We had both breakfast and dinner during our stay and both were good - there was a good variety of food including locally sourced lamb and fish. The room we stayed in did not have a view of the estuary but was spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable indeed and my six year old snored his way through 10 hours of sleep each night of our stay. Overall the hotel has more of a family owned feel to it as opposed to one of the big hotel chains. There was ample parking and it is only a short walk to the village. Probably the most impressive feature was the view from the bar and the ample wooden chairs and tables on the veranda for eating or drinking outside. If you want a top quality hotel on the Ring of Kerry with good food, scenery, and some peace and quiet - this is the one to choose.

My two sisters and I stayed at the Sneem Hotel for three nights to attend a wedding held at the hotel. We were very impressed with the accommodations and helpful staff. The location is beautiful, located on the ring of Kerry in the tiny town of Sneem. The view from our room was gorgeous! We stayed in the new wing of apartments. This was a nice, spacious change from staying in small hotel rooms on the rest of our trip. We had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, dining room, and living area. The apartment was stocked with all of the basics and then some--we even had a dishwasher (with soap) and a combination washer/dryer. The apartment was brandnew and we declared the beds to be the most comfortable of our whole trip! It was quiet and peaceful. We really liked the convenience of the parking lot right in front of the building. The hotel did a great job accommodating us as well as the rest of wedding guests, and all had a wonderful time. Thank you!

This hotel far surpassed my expectations and my thoughts. I had expected a typically small Irish country hotel but this building is new with very modern and large rooms.
Food is quite good, but the seem very badly understaffed throughout the whole place. Breakfast more resembled a Mary Celeste experiance but food eventually was brought, hot and tasty.
My only criticisim is the hotel is very slow to get rooms ready we arrived early and they could not accomodate us. But again staffing was blamed.
But this hotels best feature is by far and away its setting. Set in a pretty town in an amazing part of the world. It really is very pretty. One word of advice, the road from Kenmare is pretty bad so take care on it.

My wife and I went and stayed in the hotel last weekend for two nights, the hotel and setting are beautiful. On the Saturday the sun was out which made everything even better. Reception staff are excellent, very very helpful, we were interest in coming back and staying in the apartments next door, the receptionist gave us a key and told us go have a look, really nicely laid out apartments. The only but, is the food, we ate the first night in the hotel bar, and well it was lovely, but mussels as a main course are lovely but just mussels nothing with them no bread no fries. The following night we ate in the restaurant, service was very slow, the food was only ok, nothing very special. I would have expected a higher standard to match the high standard of the rest of the hotel. Keep everything as is, just add a new menu.
