A Gem, In A Great Location

A 12-room beauty, decorated in a pretty, upscale way, helpful staff, and VERY GOOD breakfast, despite some earlier reviews. The cappucchino's are the best I've had anywhere in Europe, nice fruit juices and coldcut options, plus one hot entree -- which includes blinis with sweet curd or fruit. How could anyone criticize this?! The rooms have beautiful billowy curtains, high-end bed linens and comfy beds, and big and modern bathrooms -- mine with a huge bathtub that I couldn't resist. For comparison's sake, Apia is much nicer with bigger rooms than most 3 star hotels you would find on the Left Bank of Paris, but less expensive. Vilnius, and the Apia, are a treat.

Great place

In spite of its location (in the Old Town, close to most tourist sights and amenities, and literally yards from a couple of busy streets with pubs and restaurants), the Apia has to be the quietest hotel we've ever been in. Our room faced onto a nice courtyard on the side of the building, and we never heard any sound at night (and very little during the day) throughout the week we stayed there.
Our room was spacious, pleasant and very clean, with sensible wooden floors, and a good bathroom. The bed was extremely comfortable, too! We found staff at reception both efficient and friendly.
Breakfast was served in the bar adjacent to the hotel. The cold section was disappointing (not much variety, and what was on offer could have been tastier), but I got hot pancakes a few times and they were quite nice.
All in all: a very good experience. I would recommend the Apia unhesitatingly.
Very Nice Hotel.

A very nice small hotel close to the center of the old town. Most of what is worth seeing in the old quarter can be reached by walking.
The hotel itself is only a small one with 12 rooms I think. We were two adults with two teenage children staying for three days. We had 2 large rooms on the second / top floor. There is no lift so anyone with walking difficulties may have to reconsider staying here.
The breakfast is limited but the crepes with fruit are very nice and you need little more to eat. The hotel does not offer evening meals, but there are plenty of nice places to eat in the city.
Two out of the three people that were working on reception during our stay were very friendly and helpful.
There is a lot to see and do in this city and if we get a chance to go back we would try to book this hotel again.

One of the best compliments you can give a hotel is probably that the real thing is as good as it looks on the website pictures. And Apia is! Spacious, cosy and spotless rooms with comfortable beds. Our bathroom was also very spacious, but I think that may vary. It was as spotless as the room and well equipped.
Add reasonable room prices, a very helpful and friendly staff, nicely decorated public areas and an adequate (but far from abundant) breakfast, and the hotel already should be your choice in Vilnius.
But the one thing that makes it stand out is the location. Directly in the center of Vilnius' major attraction: The old town. Unless you plan to go out of town, you won't have to think about transportation. Everything is within comfortable walking distance. I wouldn't just consider staying there if I return to Vilnius, i would actually prefer it!

We had three rooms: one for my husband, seven year old son and myself, one for my parents, and one for my sister-in-law, her husband and two year old daughter. We were all happy with our rooms, especially the newly renovated bathrooms. Our room even had a balcony overlooking the street and they even made up an extra bed for our son. The hotel is just lovely and within the historic downtown.
My sister-in-law who has lived in Lithuania for 5 years said it was the nicest hotel she's ever been in in the country. Recommended!
