The Timeo towers over the coast of Taormina and Naxos with an excellent view of Mount Etna – Which happened to be erupting during our stay.
The terrace and restaurant of the hotel makes it out for everything – What a night !
The staff is professional and knows their trade. The sommelier knows his wines and is excellent in picking just the right wine to fit the food.
The food is extremely good though not very advanced – But the quality and composition of the dishes are just right.
Beeing in Taormina or Naxos - even though your budget is tight and you might not have the money to stay or dine at the Timeo you should treat yourself with a bottle of champagne at their terrace – It will be the best 150 $ you?ve ever spend.

The view from the terrace of the sea on one side and Mt. Etna on the other while having breakfast is delightful. We had a very nice corner room with terraces on both sides and large windows which let the beautiful Mediterranean light into the room. The hotel has been restored beautifully. The wifi worked well, the fitness room was good, and the staff was very friendly. Both couples in our party were quite pleased with the hotel.

I don't know if there is enough space here to say what a wonderful time we had at Grand Hotel Timeo. The hotel is exquisite, the service is definitely that of a 5-star hotel. From the minute we made reservations, I could tell it would be a great experience. We had a superior room with an ocean view--yes the room was a little small, but it was beautifully appointed. It's almost as thought the concierge and reception staff could anticipate our every need. Breakfast is wonderful, again the service exactly what one would expect from a hotel of this calibre. The only complaint I have is there were two large parties the weekend I was there and there were small children running wild all over the terraces and in the bar and restaurant--I understand the front desk had their hands full with complaints.
Would I stay here again? You bet I would!! In fact, I'm planning a return trip just to stay at the The Grand Hotel Timeo.

This is a classic, old, characterful spot with wonderful views of Etna and the Sea. Had planned to stay at sister hotel Vila St Andrea but was being refurbished so they transferred the booking.
Personally could not fault anything - room was clean, staff were very helpful including concierge who kindly printed out by online boarding pass for me.
Location next to Greek Theatre is very handy and, despite the crowds, you could hear nothing from the Hotel.
The terrace and gardens are superb.
Found it good value in April - suspect otherwise in height of season!
Hotel instructions to get car to hotel worked well.
