This is a new wonderful hotel in Khajuraho. The property is brand new and has all that one expects from a top hotel - beautiful gardens, locale, view, food, rooms, location and above all service. The only possible down side to the stay was that the hotel had few guests which made the stay lonely but more peaceful - a nice change after the excruciating traffic snarls in Delhi.

Reopened in February 2007 after extensive renovation, bringing the level of the accommodation up to 5 stars and beyond, with luxurious rooms (some with a view of the temples) of the highest international standard, with 42 inch plasma TVs, all facilities, excellent (and relatively cheap) spa - a very good reason to stay more than one night in Khajuraho, breaking your trip along dusty north-indian roads. We stayed as a part of our independently organised itinerary Delhi-Agra-Gwalior-Datia-Orchha-Khajuraho.
Attentive director (formely at Grand Hyatt Kolkata) who runs the hotel with his wife. Unfortunately, the majority of visitors to Khajuraho arrive in larger groups, and the bigger hotels tend to cater for this type of traveller. With the opening of the Grand Temple View in the luxury segment, this may change. Only negative comment would be that the hotel's restaurant lacks atmosphere, although the food is excellent - especially if you have the privilege of being the only guests and ask the chef to prepare his indian specialities, as we were lucky enough to do.
