The best thing about this hotel is definately the location. You can walk to the tower within 2 minutes and in all honesty you need to be near the main attraction because there is nothing else to do in Pisa! For a short stay the hotel is sufficient. The lobby area is nice but the rooms are a little tired. Breakfast was ok,just the usual continental style. As for Pisa itself i wouldn't stay there again. We were told not to eat near the tower but when we went looking for restaurants we couldn't find anything to entice us. If you like pizza and pasta every night then you might be ok! Needless to say we ate near the tower and the meals were disappointing-for Italy anyway. Be warned also-the service charge is horrendous-15/16 euros at least. This was our 1st time in Italy and i'm trying to reserve judgement because i don't think we saw the best of it. The tower and surrounding buildings are a great sight but if staying in Pisa you need to plan some days out.

This hotel is located 50m from the leaning Tower of Pisa and is a lovely old hotel with bundles of character. The rooms are quite basic and average size but the bed was fine and it was all nice and clean. The bathrooms were modern and clean and the rooms were insulated enough that we didn't really hear anyone around us. The staff at the front desk were helpful and spoke English well. The typical continental breakfast was basic but nice enough. Given that the Tower of Pisa is the main reason people visit Pisa, this hotel is perfect for it. As we walked around the Duomo and Tower it was easy to duck back to drop off our jackets as it got warmer.

The hotel is a little tired, but they are within sight of the Duomo and Leaning Tower of Pisa. They offer parking in their own garage and the front desk staff is very accommodating. Excellent recommendations for dinner in town at both big taste and low price. Good place to spend the night.

Like most hotels priced in the range of the Grand Hotel Duomo, the decor is dated and the shower is dated. Overall my wife and I had a good experience at Duomo due to the breakfast and convenient location. Pros: spacious room and bathroom, good continental breakfast (breads, pastries, fruit, cereal, boiled eggs & juices) with tea/coffee service. Great location ~ within 3 minutes of the Tower, great restaurant across the hotel (ask the front desk). Less than 10 euro cab ride from train station or airport. Cable television. Cons: room was not ready due to small repair in bathroom (which made the room smell like plaster for our one night), no mention of hotel amenities (breakfast location, internet access, check-out time), dated decor, tiny shower, difficult to adjust blinds in room.
