If you are thinking of staying here be sure to ask for a room away from the street. The noise is absolutely staggering; it will keep you awake until 1 or 2 a.m. Our room was a large corner room; it was o.k. but not as great as the reviews made this place out to be. We just felt there was no ambiance; the room had hard wood floors which resonated with every sound and very tinny furniture. The bathroom was large but could have used an area to leave items such as a toothbrush and makeup. Location was good and food in the restaurant was okay -- not great -- but okay. The service in the restaurant, however, was great. Very friendly and accommodating people. All in all, the next time we're in Montreal we will stay elsewhere.

My wife and I spent two nights at the Auberge Bonaparte and were delighted with the accommodations and service. We enjoyed a queen bedded room on the second floor front ( as requested ) with whirlpool tub and shower. Everything was as clean as it could be and we were not disturbed by any street noise as others have reported. Kudos to both Chloe and Anne-Marie both of whom manned the front desk and were invaluable in providing help, directions and , most importantly, a pot of coffee delivered to our room shortly after sun-up each morning. The included three course breakfast was outstanding in every respect. We dined at the Bonaparte our first night from the menu d?gustation which was quite good, but the time between courses was extraordinarily and awkwardly long. Dinner the second night was at the less formal Boris Bistro which we thoroughly enjoyed. Our short stay preceded a trip to the ?les de la Madeleine aboard the CTMA Vacancier hence the old town location of this hotel made the transfer to the ship very easy. I highly recommend Auberge Bonaparte as well as the week-long voyage to and from les ?les.

Hotel is located within easy walking distance of all major Old Montreal attractions. Easy parking across street. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were exceptionally clean, quiet, and roomy. Breakfast included at connected restaurant. Food (had two breakfasts and one dinner there) was simply delightful. We are "foodies" and know the difference. Quality was superb; prices were reasonable; wait staff knowledgeable and professional. Would go back in a heartbeat.
You can't go wrong at the Bonaparte!!

We stayed at the Auberge Bonaparte for one night before our cruise ship departure. Everything was great. We had a room on the 5th floor facing the street. But heard nothing from traffic or people below or from the adjoining rooms. The room was clean and comfortable.
The hotel is in the center of the old town section of Montreal so there were numerous cafes and shops nearby. But we decided to dine in the hotel's restaurant.
The meal there was fantastic. A little expensive but the food and service were definitely worth it.
The hotel was close enough to the cruise ship dock that we walked with our luggage there instead of having to take a taxi.
