We recently stayed at the Villa Odino for our wedding anniversary.
We wanted to do Venice but did not want the hassle of getting to the city hotels by water. This hotel was first class in all aspects. Tastefully decorated room, staff and service excellent. Not far from railway station for direct service into Venice Santa Lucia. ( 30mins ) walk out of the station and view the grande Canal.
Only one criticism, the hotels restaurant is 2 kms away but it is excellent. You need a car or take a taxi into town (1km), hotel also has bicycles for the fit and healthy, for local restaurants etc. All in all a great weekend.

A great place to stay outside of Venice

I am not one to use the word "exceptional" often in my opinion of service providers. However, our stay at the Villa Odina was exceptional. The hotel was quite comfortable with the amenities you would expect from a hotel this size. However, the service provided by the hotel staff was truly exceptional. This was the last of 5 hotels at which we stayed during a 17 day tour of northern Italy. The staff was helpful and attentive and provided us with the best service we had during our trip. The suggestion for the wine tour at Santome was a gem. Take advantage of the shuttle service to the train station.

I had high expectations of this hotel based on their website and other reviews. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff was superb meeting our every need with a smile and never made us feel as though we were a bother. The hotel is beautiful and well maintained in a country setting about a 25 minutes train ride to Venice. The train station in Quarto dAltino is about 1 mile to walk or bike or the hotel will glady provide you with transporation for a minimal fee. The rooms were just beautiful with every amenity. The complimentary full breakfast buffet was delicious and served in the most elegant room with large windows overlooking the well manicured grounds. The pool was clean and the area around the pool was nicely maintained. There was a small playground area for little ones and a trail to walk along the river. We did not have time to take advantage of the bicylcles to ride along the river Sile ( pronounced Silly) which runs along the back of the grounds. The best thing about the place was the service proviced by the lovely young women who could not do enough for us during our stay. They were so helpful in planning our trips to Venice and Florence with the transportation on trains and shuttles. We would recommend this hotel to everyone.

We just came back from Venice and we had an excellent time at the Villa Ondino.
The Quality/Price ratio of this truly 4 stars hotel can hardly be excedeed in the surroundings of Venice known for exagerate prices.
Thus we warmly recommend this hotels to all those who seek relaxation, comfort and luxury for a reasonable price.
The only problem beeing the somehow secluded location I would advice the rental of a car which can easen the travel to the train station to Venice or to other places in the surrondings.

I try to be an unbiased person as I write reviews. So I will list the pros as well as the cons about this hotel.
I think this hotel is primarily meant for couples (not single people) looking to escape and relax. In this case, being in the middle of nowhere might be a pro. But if you are a single person, you might consider this to be a con since you have to pay for shuttle service to the train station. Then, you have to pay for the train ticket to Venice (both can be purchased by the hotel staff). After you are finished, you have to call a shuttle to pick you up from the train station (which you pay for as well).
PROS:
Swimming pool.
Quiet.
Large, spacious rooms
Jacuzzi tubs
TV
In room safe
Continental Breakfast
CONS:
Costs money to go anywhere outside of hotel.
Very secluded location (not near any businesses).
Must catch the last train to Quarto D'Altino at 9:30 pm if you are in
Venice. The trains stop after that til early morning.
Even though one will pay more to stay inside of Venice, it is about worth it if you are looking to actually see Venice on a regular basis. Staying outside costs money to travel and you don't get the full effect since you have to catch an early train back. That is just my opinion, though. I would say this about any hotel located outside of Venice.
I found the staff to be nice and helpful. So doing things through their help was very beneficial.
This hotel isn't for everyone. Mostly for those that like secluded areas and don't mind travelling about 30 km to Venice. But the services provided by this hotel are very good.
