Not a premier destination. Old, un-kept, by far not plush. Worst Resort ever stayed in. Suite was large but the furniture and carpet were old and soiled. Shower backed up -waded in water. Stayed for anniversary - extremely disappointed. Don't be fooled - the room and ground renovation has not started. It needs Major renovation.

The grounds were very nice but the room was very dated and not very well equiped. Tiny TV in old cabinet, leftover food in the fridge, no soap. Pools looked nice but it was too cold to swim. Ate a few times at casual and main restaurants and were quite satisfied. Enjoyed walking around the grounds and my friend enjoyed the horseback riding. Employee picked us oranges from an orange tree in the garden. Nice touch. Parking lot was very poorly lit and got in a slight accident with a golf cart that couldn't see. Manager was very rude. All in all we would not likely go back. Wasn't crazy about Tucson, and wasn't wrm enough for a winter holiday but loved the desert, especially the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum.

Room was comfortable, spacious, and the view of the mountains another plus. Yes, maybe a bit tired, but for the price, clean and perfect if you are spending most of your time outdoors. Lunch in Gold Room was unexpected pleasure: interesting menu selections, well presented and delicious. Staff was uniformily polite. Spa is tiny but servicable. Room was very quiet but parts of the facility are undergoing renovation, so be sure to request quiet room. Lacks the glitz but I think more travelers are trading off glitz for solid value, and this is a lovely old ranch, the grounds meticuously maintained, and with tennis, pool and spa, plenty to do here and nearby.

This is a lovely resort, very southwestern. The grounds are beautiful with plenty of paths meandering around the gardens and through the desert. Some renovation of a section of guest cottages is in process but it did not impact us in the least. Our room was spacious and comfortable and very private with a small patio facing one of the pools. We found the staff courteous and attentive and the food was very good (not extraordinary) -- we ate breakfast and dinner in the Gold Room once each, room service for breakfast once and a la carte once from the coffee cart on the terrace. I would definitely return and would recommend this hotel without hesitation to others visiting Tucson.

Just spent one night with 2 young grandkids and had an excellent time. We live in Tucson so while I was familiar with the hotel, I had never stayed there or seen the rooms. After reading some of the reviews, I was a bit nervous about what to expect. Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, letting us check in a little early. Our standard Posada room was quite large and clean with a balcony. We all enjoyed the pools and the grounds. We tried the Lookout B&G for dinner and while nothing special, it was reasonably priced and ok. Resorts in Tucson can be very expensive, even in summer and we were very pleased to pay only $93 (plus the silly resort fee) - can't beat that deal. Highly recommend Westward Look.
