Spent four nights here. Well refurbished room with all the basic facilities to be expected of a large corporate-style hotel. Refrigerator for guest use. Very clean. Bed adequately comfortable. As is so often the case in Russia, the room was stiflingly hot even in the depth of winter; I was unable to find any way to cool the room short of opening the window - it was noticeable that the chambermaids opened it every day! I ate breakfast but no other meals in the hotel; this was in the main restaurant, and it did not seem to be well suited to this sort of high-volume catering. A wide selection of items were laid out for self-service, but there were minor problems with some staple or other every day - one day, no hot water so neither coffee nor tea, the next, no bread etc. Refurbishments were ongoing in the main reception floor so perhaps a more suitable room is being constructed. Staff were helpful, willingly providing documents to assist in obtaining a visa, registering with local police &c., and spoke good English. If I visit Perm again, I will happily stay here.
