My husband, our three kids and I stayed in this hotel on June 18 thru 21 and back again on July 1 thru July 3. The location of the hotel was I thought convenient to all the major sites. You can walk to the Louvre and Notre Dame. The Hotel de Ville is next door and other major sites can be visited by taking the metro which is right across the street of the hotel but a major station called the 'chatelet' that connects to most of the metro routes is just around the corner of the block. There is a boulangerie around the corner in the back of the hotel where we had breakfast everyday. There are several cafes in the area where you can have your meals but excellent restaurants are reached only by metro or taxi cab. The interior of the hotel is as you see it in the pictures in their website and it is kept very clean by the cleaning staff. We felt very comfortable in our rooms. The bathrooms are modern and kept very clean by the staff. I love the Annick Goutal shampoos and soaps because this is my favorite perfume. There is a supermarcheabout a block from the hotel where you can buy evian water and other drinks. There is also a McDonalds where we had to visit once or twice because of the kids. One of our rooms was facing the street in front of the hotel (room 54) had a small terrace. On our last night in Paris, my husband and I opened a nice bottle of wine and sat on the terrace reveling on the sounds and lights of Paris. We had a partial view of the Eiffel Tower which was lighted with blue lights. The other room (room 55) was larger and accomodate three people. It had a view of the back of another building but is very clean. The front desk personnel were all very helpful and friendly. Very small elevator but what do you expect from an older Parisian building? I heard a few faint sounds from the other rooms and heard conversations next door but we did not mind. We were mindful fo the noise we made because of our children but did not hear any complaints. Have an open mind and enjoy Paris!

Hotel Britannique - a little gem on the Right Bank

My wife and I and 2 good friends stayed 3 nights at the Hotel Britannique at the end of May and thoroughly enjoyed it.
After considerable research including reviewing information on Trip Advisor and talking to my travel agent we
selected the Hotel Britannique for the following reasons:
Excellent location on the right bank near the Louvre and just 1 block to the Metro.
There are numerous good bistro's within 1-3 blocks of the Hotel.
The rates are reasonable.
Ave. Victoria is a quaint and quiet street without much traffic.
Right around the corner is a lovely bakery with very friendly
staff that we had our coffee and pastries at every day.
The staff at Hotel Britannique is very friendly, knowledgeable
and extremely helpful.
If you select the Hotel Britannique to stay in you too will not be
disappointed, it is a lovely, quaint boutique hotel!

We recentoly spent 3 nights at this hotel. It is in an excellent location for central Paris with many attractions within walking distance and the metro on the corner. Everyone there was friendly and helpful. It's not quite as pretty as it looks on the website and a little tatty but comfortable and clean. One thing we could have wished for would have been some outside space like a little terrace or patio. We had a superior room with king sized bed, we were warned that we didn't have a balcony which we were disappointed about but actually it was a blessing as the road is quite a busy cut through and I think it may have been noisy at the front where the rooms have balconies whereas our room at the back was silent.

This hotel is fantastic for many reasons. Firstly, the location is very central. It is situated one row back from the beautiful river Seine in a tranquil avenue and is approximately five minutes walk from Le Louvre and Notre Dame. There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in close proximity, but in reality nothing is very far away. If you wanted to venture further out, there is a metro stop on the corner of the street.
The staff in this hotel are brilliant. They are all polite and friendly and really will go the extra mile to help you. Of the four staff we dealt with at reception during our stay, all of them spoke English which was a massive help. The service in this hotel is excellent.
The hotel itself is very well looked after. The rooms and bathrooms are stylishly decorated and very clean. There is air-con, a safe, a mini-bar, the option of breakfast, flat screen televisions and many other services available. I would not think twice about using this hotel again if I visited Paris and would happily recommend it to my friends and family.
