A lovely property with big suites, perfect for a family with teens. Cute little porches outside to sit and have morning coffee, definitely luxurious bathrooms. Nice continental breakfast in the morning. Only one mirror, and a tiny one, in the whole suite though, which was a little weird. Also, the mini fridge is completely boxed in and overheating. The property is not well insulated for noise so we did hear hall/stair noise in the night. Overall, though, a nice walk to the Wharf and Aquarium with big rooms. We'd stay again.

We stayed at the Hotel Pacific for five nights with a group of 18 as part of an art and literature tour. Our participants all loved the comfort and beauty of this charming hotel. As one of the tour leaders, I appreciated the wonderful service we received from every one--from the sales manager to the bell boys. I really felt that they valued our business and were going the extra mile to attend to our every need.
The location of the hotel is excellent as well--an easy walk to Fisherman's Wharf and downtown--a bit longer, but still do-able to Cannery Row. The fireplaces in every suite and luxurious bedding were also very nice touches. We truly could not have asked for a better experience.

This hotel has all the personality and charm of a bed & breakfast, but the amenities and service of a full service hotel. My wife and I stayed over the weekend for some R&R and we were so happy that we have already booked another weekend. Our room was recently renovated and was in top shape from a new feather bed, LCD TV hung on the wall above the fireplace (yes a fireplace) to a bathroom with 5 star design like separate shower and tub, Kohler fixtures, natural stone tile and bath salts. The bath area rivaled many luxury hotels I've been in over the years.
The front desk was very helpful for any request like dining choices and directions. The staff really seemed like they wanted us to have a great weekend. I just can say enough about the overall great experience we had.

My daughter and I stayed at the Hotel Pacific for 2 nights. We had room 439 off street dbl deluxe. Nice room with 2 queens size beds, vaulted ceilings, balcony, large bathroom, fireplace and large flat screen TV. We had 2 small maintenance issues that were handled promptly. The hotel needs a little TLC in the elevator areas but the rooms are clean and well kept. Breakfast was the usual fair but good. i liked that trays were provided so you could carry it back to your room. If you get a good rate I say this is a good choice. No complaints.

Loved Hotel Pacific in Monterey California

Our stay at the Hotel Pacific was absolutely wonderful.
Two colleagues and myself were in Monterey on business; our schedule was hectic. Hotel Pacific being located just across from the conference center allowed us to enjoy the hotel's complimentary sumptuous breakfast buffet, which is much more than rolls and coffee, and make our meetings well ahead of schedule. We returned in the afternoon for the relaxed and lovely tea before final sessions.
Returning to the Hotel Pacific each day was the highlight of the day. This lovely hotel provides an oasis of quiet elegance. The gracious and friendly staff see to every need and offer a wealth of information on the area. The exquisite Spanish Colonial decor and architecture are masterfully carried out to give one a feeling of warmth and intimacy with the surroundings. The suite was simply beautiful with more than enough room for the three of us to relax, work, and prepare for our day. The luxurious feather beds are to die for.
I will return to the Hotel Pacific to further explore the Monterey Peninsula; but mostly to enjoy this wonderful hotel. When they say on their website that at the Hotel Pacific, your luxurious Monterey accommodations are designed to indulge all your senses, they are understating the case. Bravo.
