My daughter and I were travelling to Key West and used this hotel for the night. The night desk person was very nice and helpful since we got in late and needed to get something to eat before we turned in. We heard the trains all night but there were no other problems. We were on the 3rd floor. I didn't like the fact that you had to go up in the elevator and then go outside to get to your room because it didn't seem real safe. There were people hanging out near the steps and around on the balcony that made us a little nervous. When we left in the morning for Key West we decided since we knew the hotel that we would make a reservation for Thursday night since our plane left from the airport at 9:00 am and we needed to be close to the airport instead of driving up from Key West that morning. When we got back to the hotel on Thursday the desk person was nice and gave us a room on the 4th floor. The room was filthy and didn't look like the bathroom was cleaned for a month. Beside the trains we had people in a few other rooms that were partying all night and the ice machine was right outside of our room. They kept filling up their coolers until about 3:30 am and we hardly slept at all. We called down to the desk but there was no answer and we were really nervous in the morning leaving because all we heard all night was a man screaming at his girlfriend and the sounds of the ice machine and partying. (and the trains.) The online information is deceiving although the hotel itself was beautiful from the outside. I didn't know when I booked it that the rooms were outside access or I would not have booked it. I think the next time we head to Fort Lauderdale we will use the Red Roof Inn which is right next door.

If you want to be safe, clean and have things work don't go here! We were on the 5th floor and on our floor and the fourth floor there were locals who partied and played loud music all night and even tried kicking in one of our traveling companions door (thank God for the inner door lock). Just getting ice forced you to walk in front of these men who openly leered at you. At 3:30 am ,after several calls to the front desk they finally stopped and went to their rooms. Our coffee table was broken, I had to use Fabreze on the whole room because it smelled so badof cigarettes, it's a no smoking room. It was a cold evening and our heat did not work, when I talked to the front they told me "in this area we don't do heat" although our neighbors heater worked just fine. The light at the bathroom sink would not turn on, we didn't even bother to complain about that, what was the point. The front desk people did not seem concerned at all and actually seemed annoyed at times. The price was good and they gave us a group rate but we should have paid a little more and stayed somewhere else!

We stayed for 4 nights and had the time of our life. Some of the reviews i can not see as true. We had the 1 bedroom suite and 3 of us were in the room and the space was great. very quite at night security was always there on the place to make sure nothing was happening .The only minor problem we had was our keys did not work all the time but other then that i will stay there again.

Located beside a train track and very busy highway. A lot of traffic, sirens and train noise at all hours. It is a "motel" with all rooms opening to outdoors. Shower water did not adjust well. Very hard mattress on bed. TV remote did not work (black tape to hold battery in). Decent bar food in the "sports bar" restaurant. Minimal options on continental breakfast bar and was not even told there would be any type of breakfast available. Waffle House and McDonalds are the only close restaurants. Will choose another hotel farther from airport in the future.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel as an overnight before a cruise that was departing from Fort Lauderdale. Sadly, the service through which we booked the hotel characterized this as a 3 star hotel. It is not that. It was closer to 1 and a half stars, if that. Check in was tedious and slow. There was a $5.00 "resort fee" and $2.00 for a safe that did not work. When mentioning the flawed safe to the management the next day, they said "you should have mentioned something the previous night." We might have, except that the lobby environment was such that we wanted to be there as little as possible. A seedy crowd, and distracted security guards were the main features, so we decided to stick to our room. The room however left much to be desired. The carpet was damp and somewhat sticky. The room had a mildewy stench, and the bed had to be one of the lumpiest in which I've slept. We literally spread dirty laundry on top of the sheets and slept on that, because the bedding had a similar dampness and we had sanitary concerns. The shower was weak and hot, then cold. The courtyard itself was pleasant looking, and apart from its location proximate to the train track (I mean immediately proximate), the hotel really could have been a nice place. But it was run down, smelly, and unclean to the point of being nearly unusable. We obviously will not return.
