My husband and I recently stayed at the Sans Souci and we thoroughly enjoyed everything about it! We were part of a group of swim team families (including teens and a 5 year old) staying together at this hotel. The Sans Souci is a very homey, comfortable type of place. If you are looking for high-rise accommodations with exciting night life, then look elsewhere, but for us this was perfect. And the price is very reasonable. We booked an apartment which was spacious, clean and very comfortable. and nice and quiet at night. Our friends had an efficiency which was also very nice. It was a real plus to have kitchen facilities so that we didn't have to eat out ALL the time. Many of the rooms can be connected by a door which would be nice for families. The basic room is small, but connected to a larger room, it is a good bedroom for the kids! We especially enjoyed gathering in the small courtyard by the pool to chat , have coffee, or dinner. There is a grill available to use. The beach was an easy 2 block walk from the hotel and the pool was small, but very nice, and often just 1 or 2 people were using the pool. We would definitely return to the Sans Souci, and hope to do just that next year!

I decided to extend my stay in Ft. Lauderdale after a conference and wanted to stay by the beach to catch some rays and get some much needed rest and relaxation. There are several reasons why I would recommend this hotel and would stay again: 1) The owner is very personable and accommodating. From providing toothpaste and a beach chair to offering suggestions with nearby eateries, Aaron was very helpful. 2) Location, Location, Location! Sans Souci is walking distance from the beach and restaurants but is away from the main strip of traffic and noise congestion. 3) Value-$89/night for a no-frills n/s, queen-sized bedroom w/microwave/refrigerator/air-conditioning. It was cleaned and tidied on a daily basis. Overall, if you are on a budget and do not need a lot of ammenities but being near the beach and getting a quiet rest is your top priority, then definitely look into staying at the Sans Souci Hotel during your visit in Ft. Lauderdale. Sans Souci means after all, "carefree and easy."

My wife and I had a very pleasant stay at the Sans Souci. Hotel was quiet, clean, and affordable. The front desk was helpful and courteous. We had the opportunity to stay in an apartment with balcony and would suggest paying a little extra for it. The apartment is furnished with pots, pans, and dishes ideal for saving on meal costs. The hotel also has a "soft" 11:00 AM check out which is great for those travelers not looking to rush in the morning. Great location, service, and overall deal. We will stay again.

This was my second stay at Sans Souci, with the previous time being in June of 2004. This hotel offers a variety of room types at very reasonable rates year-round; found that to be particularly the case when I stayed there at the summer rates. The decor and room furnishing are not new in appearance; however, the rooms, as well as the common grounds around the pool are clean and very well maintained. The proprietors were always on the grounds and available if I needed anything or was looking for information about the Ft. Lauderdale area. It is a short walk to the beach; a little less than 2 blocks. Sans Souci offers great value if you look at the rates and factor in the personable service offered by the proprietors. As a case in point, I left my cell phone charger at the hotel at check-out and it was mailed to me.

Stayed for one night and that was enough ! This place was very dirty. The bathroom was gross. Dirty walls, shower curtains, faucets and floors (full of hair). The bathtub was old and rusted Outside the bathroon, wasn't much better. The chairs were stained. The pillows were "used and abused" and flat as pancakes. This place was way overpriced. The only thing going for this place is location. Do yourself a favor, look elsewhere !
