Rooms were very clean, nice tile modern and comfortable, but very small despite an upgrade. Conceige staff very helpful, cont. breakfast sig. above average, much more than we expected and very good quality, fresh fruit salad, eggs, pastries, hotel in a great location and accessible by metro
Two complaints: we booked four rooms, and were placed on three sep. floors. We asked for a recom for dinner for 9 and was referred to Porta di ripetta... I understand that the us dollar is weak, but compared to all other rest. in rome and during our visit to Italy, this was the most dissapointing. Averaged 40 american dollars) PP for one course , small portions, mostly pasta dishes and 2 appetizers, the conceige staff needs to be more thougthful about their rest .recom.

We stayed three nights and it was fantastic, in fact it may have been one of the best hotels I have stayed at in Europe. Truly nice staff that helped us with dinner reservations, tours and any other info we needed. Our room was not ready when we arrived, we arrived about three hours prior to check-in time, but we waited only 15 minutes and were shown to our room, bags waiting for us in the room. We chose the standard room, with a queen bed. It was quaint, definitely not large, but it was comfortable, clean and air conditioned. There is a nice bar in the hotel and the breakfast was very good. On Friday and Saturday night they had a wonderful piano player, very nice to relax while having a drink at the bar before going out for dinner.
It is only two blocks from Flamini Metro station and two minutes from Piazza di Popolo. It really can't be beat for the location and definite class of this hotel. I have stayed elsewhere in Rome and you cannot do much better than this. A bad hotel can wreck a great vacation, this one truly enhanced it ours.

My husband took me to Rome for my 40th and what a fantastic weekend we had. The hotel was gorgeous, had to wait about an hour for our room to be ready, which wasn't a problem we had a drink at the bar and chatted to the friendly staff.
The room was small which we expected from previous reviews, but it was very compact and comfortable and of course it was lovely to have your bed folded back with a box of Godiva chocolates every night.
Hotel was in a great location, staff were very friendly and helpful and I even received a small present for my birthday. Some great cocktails at the bar. All in all we had a wonderful time and would definitley go back.

My husband surprised me and took me to Rome & this hotel for my 50th, fantastic!
We got a taxi from the airport as we don't speak Italian & thought this was easier. Advised to get a "White Taxi, & make sure they have a meter" cost us 60 Euros with a tip and driver was very good and informative.
As most other reviews have said the room and the bathroom is TINY, small but perfectly formed. You are not in your room long so not a real problem. The bed was very comfortable, air-con worked fine, and the little touches of the turndown service, the chocolates were a treat.
Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly and if we do go back would definately consider this hotel again especially because of the location to the sites.
If you go the Vatican which I'm sure you will, go EARLY, and be warned they have strict codes for clothing. No bare shoulders (strappy tops), no shorts (although the long golf type ones were being worn). Ladies were told to go & buy a scarf to cover up & then queue again, so please be warned.
The weather was extremely HOT while we there, make sure you use sunscreen and wear a hat when out & about, the usual stuff really.
A real bonus is you can drink the water and there are drinking fountains dotted all over the place.
We got a taxi back to the airport, and walked to the Piazza del Popolo at the top end of the Via del Corso, there seems to be a taxi rank there, we asked the driver how much to the airport, cost us 45 Euros, so worth asking.
The only problem all weekend was the 4 1/2 hour flight delay to come home! All in all a fantastic weekend, saw alot of the outside sights, can't wait to go back and see some museums & Galleries. Take comfy shoes you will need them and enjoy.
