Beautiful hotel, attentive staff
Guest name: AZflier, AZ
We stayed one night in June. Very attentive service from the time we got out of the car until we left the next day. A dram of whisky at check in was a great touch. Loved the wine-themed rooms. Our room was on the smaller side, but had wonderfully luxurious bedding, and an amazing bathroom. We enjoyed the Cigar gazebo that was set up outside for smoking guests. This is a beautiful hotel and one I would definitely recommend.
Fantastic

We stayed here in March of this year and had the most fantastic time.
The staff were all most welcoming, especially the doorman who was always very jolly!
Our room was fantastic. One of the best we have ever stayed in. Having two bathrooms, a sauna and gym equipment!
The restaurant and bar were also very good.
We cant wait to go back!

'Stunning' it a word. It's expensive (but then again we did have a suite complete with downstairs bathroom and conservatory and small patio). Huge ceilinged bedroom, very comfortable bed, two TVs, CD/DVD player ... bliss.
The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful.
You can park directly outside.
And the restaurant was superb. Why this place does not have a Michelin star I don't know. I have eaten at some of the world's best restaurants (June saw me at L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon in London, Number One at the Balmoral in Edinburgh and Restaurant Daniel in New York) and the beetroot and crab cannelloni was one of the best things I've tasted in a while. Very sensible wine list. And I nearly forgot the cocktails beforehand ... best Old Fashioned ever!
The hotel is a 10 - 15 minute walk to the centre of things but quite easy to do.

This was an absolutely beautiful hotel. An impressive sandstone building with contemporary and traditional decor. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. A complementary whisky was offered on arrival and duly accepted! :)
Our room was more like a suite, four poster bed with a hallway leading to the bathroom which was one of the nicest ones I've ever seen, rolltop bath and twin showers. Lovely arran aromatics (generous sized) toiletries.
The room also had a fine selection of tea and coffee available. There was a great range of magazines provided and the biscuits I just have to mention were divine. We had a full scottish breakfast for ?17 each. A nice buffet of fresh cut fruits was available and the usual cereals, yogurts etc. One downside I felt was the lack of breads available. I enquired about this and was told that the bread I requested was for tonights dinner. The residents bar provided a nice place for our after dinner tipple.
