small, spotlessly clean, charming hotel
Guest name: graceCroydon, croydon, surrey
This hotel is small but spotlessly clean and staff are lovely. Great position, not far from Rue de Rivoli with it's eclectic mixture of shops. Not far from Tuilleries Gardens, the magnificent Louvre and the Musee de l'orangerie, which houses Monet's beautiful series of waterlilly landscapes. Lots of good but inexpensive brassieries nearby.Really could not find any faults with this hotel which was a real bargain, with eurostar bargain fare as well. Would recommend it to anyone, and am looking forward to returning
Much better than expected

An older hotel, on a side street next to a main street and a 10 minute walk to the Louvre.
The location was the primary benefit.
High speed wireless internet is available for a fee (from Orange.com) but it did not work in my room on the fourth floor. I had to go down to the lobby where it worked fine.
Very good breakfast. My room was small but very clean.
I will definitely stay there again if I want to be near the Louvre.
Not fancy (although their larger rooms may be; I had a small room, was traveling alone).

I recently suprised my boyfriend with a 2 night trip to paris using the eurostar service from london which was fanastic and quick. I selected this hotel based on the reviews seen on trip advisor. It was based approximately 20mins for Nord station where the eurostar is stationed, within a 3 minute walk from pyramides metro station and approx 4 mins walk from Lourve. It was a lovely clean hotel with pleasant staff. The staff were helpful if you asked for directions or advice but they didn't offer any suggestions about where to eat or visit etc unless you did ask. It was a small, but nice room with a clean but compact bathroom. It wouldn't be a romantic hotel but a lovely decent hotel for a quick break in paris. We were both delighted with the location. It does have airconditioning, but to be honest it doesn't cool down the room at all. The hotel did have room service but only sandwiches at an expensive 12 euro. Breakfast was not included but was available at 12 euro. But there were some nice little cafes to get some food around the area (including starbucks which we discovered on our last night) so it isn't a major issue. I would definitely recommed this hotel for a short break. I would buy a mobilis travel ticket (5euro approx) for a day. It was great value. However the problem in some metro stations was that in the fast ticket machine this option was not available and we wasted money on single tickets.
