Just had 2 week stay at Deson-Ladoga and I am not going to nite pick. Yes the previous review is correct.
The nice thing is it is just outside the tourist area so prices in local shops at a bit cheaper, there is a 24 hour super market just round the corner, and a bus and trolley bus stop as well. 2 mins walk and you have the Metro to all the city..
All the reception staff are very helpful and english is very good.
Breakfast is served till 10-00 am and is typical of all the other Spb. hotels I have stayed in. The hotel is spotless with room service if you want it. As the reception area is not vast security is good and I had no problems with friends visiting me. For me one big plus, there was NO girls at night hanging around like you find at the bigger tourist hotels. This is a good hotel and I will be staying there again.

We (Germans, 2 persons) have been there for one week. The staff is friendly and speak english.
The hotel is a typical tourist hotel. To come into the city you need transportation. O-bus and Underground are close.
Frontside rooms are very noisy. (We switched to the backside). In summertime when tempreratue is high then rooms are to warm - No aircondition! Especially rooms on the 5. floor (highest floor).
Breakfast and other meals are o.k.
To sit outside are only 3 tables with chairs and no service.
Money change are daily available.
