Just what we wanted! Spotless clean, comfy bed, nice pool, good staff and next to everything. Definetly worth the money!

We stayed at Magic Blue for our honeymoon. The location is 2 blocks off the beach, across the street from the pedestrian mall. Its far enough away so you dont hear the noise, but you can walk there in 30 seconds. The rooms are absolutely beautiful, with every last detail handled. Be sure to ask for a third floor room, as they have the palapa tops and very high ceilings. Hammocks are standard on the deck, and you get the feeling you are in a tropical jungle, not in the middle of the city. At night, the pool is blue, as is most of the property. Without a doubt, one of the most beautiful properties we've stayed at. Staff was excellent, very friendly, and have zero issues handling the littlest request. Food was outstanding. Be sure to try the tacos from the snack menus, for $5 its the best meal you will have in Playa.

My wife and I were looking for a high standard hotel, but didn't want a mega-resort or all inclusive. This was exactly what we were after. It's very relaxed, the staff are very friendly and attentive and seem genuinely pleased to have you as a guest. The location is excellent, very convenient. Yes, we could occasionally hear music at night, but it is very central in a thriving tourist town, so what would we expect? It certainly wasn't a problem. We had a thatched roof room on the 1st floor and it was great, authentic, yet modern, very nicely done, and very clean and almost constantly made up! The ambience was fantastic around the pool and the atmosphere was very relaxing and being an "adult only" hotel it was quiet and calm. The adjoining restaurant is superb, the included breakfast is a very nice buffet with great staff and service. It's a two minute walk from the beach and the included passes to the beach club are great, although it is a bit of a crowded area, but again, it's a thriving resort. The service and food at the beach club are very good. We would definitely return to Magic Blue, and I would recommend contacting the hotel directly for prices as we saved around 30% by booking our flights directly with the airline and by reserving our room directly with the hotel. And that was 30% off the cheapest package rate on the biggest travel sites....

Excellent location, only across the road from the main street with bars and restaurants. Always people around so we always felt safe walking around. Very close to beach club which was lovely, friendly staff and nice food. Beds were so comfortable and hotel was always clean and tidy. Helpful staff. I liked the fact that you get a mobile phone instead of a phone in the bedroom and it has the hotel numbers on in case there's a problem. Lovely pool and pool bar. It wasn't as couply as i thought it would be which was nice as it was two girls that went. Would definately go there again.
