A Leading Hotel of the World???

I thought as a member of Leading Hotels that certain standards had to be met but I'm sad to report they weren't during my stay.
I got off to a good start with a wonderful car picking me up at the airport. The car was stocked with magazines and water and the driver was very polite. When I arrived at the hotel my room wasn't ready so I sat in the lobby for a coffee. It took 15 minutes and much gesticulating before I found someone who took my coffee order. Turns out they didn't have low fat milk...ok....
After almost 40 minutes I was taken to my room which had a rather musty smell. It didn't have tea and coffee making facilities but did have free WiFi so it balanced it out!
The room service was prompt although I couldn't seem to get anything 'without mayo', 'please no dressing'...ordering even slightly off menu was just not possible!
The bathroom had a stale smell, was very basic and had one of those horrible hairdryers. Penhaligons amenities were very nice and the dressing gowns were comfortable.
Overall, the hotel was ok but I think I would stay at the Hyatt next time.

When you check their web site make sure you check Weekend Packages. I found a great deal for a 1 night stay there for below the regular room rate. They have have 1, 2 or 3 day stay packages. Excellent hotel and deserves a 5 star rating! Very ellegant!
