We stayed for 5 nights in the swiss village part of the hotel. The hotel is located on the edge of Banff, about a 5-10 minute walk into the centre or there is a great regular, free shuttle bus. Great location, away from the noise of the centre, but with great access.
The swiss village part is the more basic part of the hotel. The room was large, the bathroom good, and the beds comfy. We had a nice little balcony too. It was clean but not to a high standard, there was a cotton bud on our bathroom floor for the entire length of our stay which we didn't put there and the balcony needed a really good clean but I suspect that was to do with it being winter. Unfortunately we suffered with noise in the early morning from people tramping up and down the corridors with ski boots on and generally shouting.
We ate in one of the restaurants which was very nice, great service. The reception area was really nice with a lovely fire and friendly staff. We didn't use the indoor or outdoor pool as they were always very busy and quite small but they looked good.
Overall we really liked the hotel. The location was great, the room felt homely, the bus service was great. It's just unfortunate that there was so much noise from the corridor and the cleaners weren't up to scratch. I wouldn't let it put you off going but I might try somewhere else next time I visit Banff.

When I booked the room, I thought I was getting a pretty good deal. I expected a decent room, not amazing, but at least clean. Unfortunately, all I got was a room that needs major renovations, a good scrub, and too warm because there is no air conditioning. My boyfriend and I were quite disapointed. I work in a hotel with a three star rating, and I would have to say, based on what I believe a three star should be, the Inns of Banff should be rated a 2 star or less. The entire hotel is in need of updating and repair. My room was also very dirty. The bathroom didn't even look as if it was cleaned at all! The beds, fortunately, were decent and apeared to be clean. The staff was friendly and fairly helpful. We stayed in the side building (Swiss Village) that from the outside looks fairly nice. It seems that it has been updated faily recently on the outside but not touched at all on the inside. My stay at the hotel wasn't horrible, but it would never be a hotel that I would stay in again. I understand that it takes time and money to update an entire hotel, but I do expect my room to be clean and fresh feeling.

Hello all, the Inns of Banff was a great place for us to stay and not to mention affordable. I did a lot of research before the start of our vacation because I wanted to get the best price for a good quality hotel. When I started researching the hotels in Banff (Banff being one of our stop off points) I couldn't believe the prices. Let me tell you freakin expensive man! Some hotels were asking for $300.00 a night. That to us was unreasonable because we just wanted to stay the night and leave the next morning towards our next destination. We paid $170.00 for the one night in the Inns of Banff. Now that may seem expensive but not nearly as much as most of the other hotels. I was shocked with the other hotel prices. The room in this hotel was phenomenal! Lots of space, very well decorated and talk about extremely comfortable beds. I swear I could have melted away they were so comfortable. The place was very clean and the customer service was great which makes a huge difference in your stay. Very friendly staff! So if you want an affordable price this is the hotel to book. I am telling you if you decide to book elsewhere be prepared to fork out the cash because it will be a lot. You will enjoy your stay at the Inns of Banff, they know how to run a business. Good luck!

Stayed for 3 nights in Swiss Village section. Rooms tired and dated , slightly shabby. About a 10 minute walk to Banff town.
Staff friendly enough. Hotel seems to be used by a lot of coach parties . No air con and room got hot very quickly . Still , since point of visit was to explore Rockies didnt spend too much time at the hotel. Indoor pool small and really just a splash pool , not for swimming .
