I booked this hotel on Priceline.com though I was not familiar with it. The price through the website was excellent for a four star hotel in Paris and the location was convenient by bus or metro to all the places I wanted to go. Gorgeous lobby and atttentive stafff when I arrived I was welcomed and treated well at reception upon my ealy arrival. I was very early so the room was not ready but they took my bags and had them in the room when I returned that afternoon. The room was fine size and the bed comfortable and there were high quality bed linens and towels. The bathroom was spacious and well equipped, plenty of hot water and water pressure for a shower. The air conditioning for the room worked well, and was a relief during the hot days we were there. I would stay in this hotel anytime at the discount rate I paid, and probably even at the rack rate.

I don't understand the poor reviews this hotel recieved but then again I have not stayed at any other Concorde hotels. For the rate we received and the bonus upgrade (around $130 euro) to a superior room, this was a great deal! Although there is no fitness facility the location makes up for everything. The train station and subway (metro) is located literally steps away and is quite easy to navigate with our struggling francais. Don't take the tour to Versaille offered by the conceirge, do it on your own and you'll save a bundle! The train station gives a 20% discount and line by-pass ticket to Versaille for around $22 euro per person. The tours started at $65 euro's and only spent about 3.3 hours including travel time. Definitely a waste! The free internet connection in the room is fabulous as I don't know of many hotels that offer this. The room was quite spacious and the bathroom was large and overall very clean. I understand that its old fashioned and there is some paint chipping but for $130 euro a night this was still a very decent price for what we got! I would stay here again.

Chose this for rate (company discount) and decent location. We were 2 teenagers, 2 parents and we booked 2 double rooms. Weather was warm but not hot. Location is ok - next to Gare St. Lazare (no noise problems), so easy to take train and metro, but the neighborhood isn't special for restaurants or nightlife (ok for breakfast). Near Grand Magazins dept. stores. With an unlimited Metro pass, we were fine. Rooms were pretty good. Our room was a good sized but smelled a had an odd smell (bearable though). Kids room was small but nicer (they got bathrobes - we got green tea and were told coffee would be an extra charge - strange). Breakfast was outrageous - 27 Euros, so we went across the street to cafe (Starbucks is next door too). I'm a runner and it was tough to get to Seine running areas (about 1 mi through traffic - no fun). Staff was friendly and helpful. Given we had to watch our budget a bit, this was a fine choice. If budget were bigger, I'd opt for location closer to Seine.
