Great hotel for the price
Guest name: gazzzh, London
The hotel was great for the price that I paid (a last minute deal on the Eurostar website).
I liked the hotel a lot especially the fact that it was air conditioned which is rare in Paris it seems. The room was a good size and modern and clean.
The bad points were:
They replaced all the toiletries each day (although the soap was used once and the shampoo and shower gel had only a small amount gone from the bottles).
The replaced all the towels (although they were hanging up to dry). Seems they don't really care about waste....
There was an excellent trouser press, however no iron in the room. Reception said at 9:00am in the morning that there were none available and I should call back. When I asked when one would be available I got told tomorrow morning.
The mini bar was locked and I had to contact reception to unlock it. After they established that they had a valid credit card number on file for the hotel room they then unlocked it.
Overall the hotel was good and I would stay there again (making sure this time I sent a request when I booked for an iron in the room).
Great Hotel - Value for Money!

We visited Hotel Concorde Montparnasse in May of this year. This was our second visit to Paris having been the previous year. Although we found the "Concorde" to be a bit further from the main tourist points than that of the hotel we had stayed in last year, it was still accessible to all the interesting points and was a much better hotel in terms of value for money. The room we were provided was much larger than a typical Parisian hotel room and it was extremely clean. The receptionist who checked us in and out was very pleasant and friendly and we always got a nice greeting from the doorman. Unfortunately, we didn't eat in the hotel restaurant, however, we did order room service one evening which was DELICIOUS! Also the bed was so comfortable I wanted to bring it home.
Overall a very pleasant stay and would certainly recommend the Concorde Montparnasse.
GREAT POINT - the bus stop for the airport bus is practically outside the door which is fantastic if you have an early morning flight home - like we did!

Just finished a 6 day stay at the hotel. The Hotel is nice, with free WiFi (compared to the Meridien across the street at 25E per day!). Breakfast is very nice, but at 21E is quite pricey. Didn't matter to me, since I got it included in my room rate for much less, so would suggest anyone interested in breakfast do the same. The rooms were nicely decorated, though a little worn in place. The bathrooms look to have been recently renovated, and were quite nice. Staff was fully bilingual in French and English, and were helpful and pleasant. OTher reviews are accurate in mentioning the close supermarket, that the Gaite station is actually closer, etc. Happily, unlike another reviewer, my room was ready quite early in the morning, but I specifically requested that, since flights from North America arrive in the morning. Excellant Air Conditioning, even when it got quite hot outside.
There were only 2 shortcomings for me: 1. They had a real shortage of irons, so if you need one, ask for one right away; and 2. the location, while close to the Montparnasse train station, is quite a hike to the Metro (Montparnasse Bienvenue), and Montparnasse itself is a bit of a journey (6-7 Metro stops) to downtown. Not a big deal, but when it's hot and sticky out, that becomes a much bigger deal.
Overall, if you need to be in this neighbourhood (i.e. for business or the like) it's an excellant choice. However, if your purpose is to sightsee, you may want to see if you can find a hotel at a similar price, closer to downtown.

This is a nice, modern, clean hotel. Not sure if our company negotiates a good rate, but it seems excellent value for money compared to other hotels I have stayed in Paris.
There are tons of restaurants in the locality - either head into Montparnasse itself for lots of bars and touristy restaurants, or head accross towards Pernety for some quieter, and probably better restaurants.
The one downside - in common with many hotels on the continent they have started serviong UHT milk at breakfast - Yuk! Why can't they serve fresh milk I wonder??
Tip - Montparnasse metro station is quite a hike away. If you are on the right line I advise staying on until Gaite, and then head through the shopping centre over towards the hotel.

We arrived late but the front desk has already gotten our bookings ready hence, in a matter of minutes, we are up in our rooms! Concorde looked every bit in as any pixs we saw. No hidden or touch up jobs done on the pixs... Front desk staffs were all very helpful (giving us good directions to travel around and even showed us around with the map). Checking out was hassle free as well. Superb.
Being a first timer in Europe and more so someone who can't speak French or Spanish, did give it a thought to be careful not to ask too much or else be snubbed...(as adviced). But hey, our 3 days stay in Paris and with Concorde was flawless! People are generally nice (not as warm as those in Asia or even Amsterdam) but nice enough to give us direction, invite us into their restaurant, ensuring we are comfortable or even thank us for our patronage.
Room was very small (my husband and I had to give way to walk around and had to take turns opening our luggage) BUT it's a very little cosy room, with very good amenities, very clean and very comforting - there's aircon and heater. Quilt/ comforter was very comfy! Personally feel it's value for money considering that we booked way in advance and paid upfront for lower rates.
Mortparnasses however, is a little further away from the touristy areas like Eiffel and etc (but it's a decent walk with cute buildings, parks and shops on the way). It would take us about 30 mins of leisure walk to reach Eiffel. The area in Mortparnasses however is convenient too, with lots of eateries, near a huge French shopping complex and is just next to the bus/train station.
Hence, grabbing a bus from CDG Airport to Concorde Mortparnasses is easy peasy. In fact, the walk between the bus stop to the hotel is a mere 5 minutes walk!
