Difficult to fault, good value, recommended.

A good location. There is with a pub with good pub food and a couple of good restaurants within a few minutes walk, and the centre of Taupo is about 15 minutes walk – quieter than being in the centre.
We got upgraded to a DeLuxe Bedroom Apartment which was ideal for a couple with two children who would be happy to share a bedroom. The facilities in the apartment included a dishwasher and a washing machine / tumble drier and plenty of crockery etc..
The hosts were friendly and helpful and we would definitely stay there again.

Perhaps the best equipped and most modern motel which we stayed at in New Zealand. It is a little out of town but only a hundred yards or so from the lake. We would definitely stay there again.

Although there was nothing particularly wrong with this motel, there were no real distinguishing features. The furniture was modern but a bit soul-less. The room was a little cramped. The lake was close by but the rooms all overlooked a courtyard car park. The laundry was not free.

Very spacious and luxurious self-contained accomodation - a small flat on two floors (three if you count the garage). It got a little cool in the evenings but the heating coped well. Good kitchen, own dishwasher and washing machine / dryer! Paid a few dollars for 24 hours of broadband internet access but found to my delight that this meant up to 24 hours taken whenever you wanted over the course of the whole stay, rather than a single day. It is situated just off the Lake, and views are partly obscured by the property in front, but still a great place to stay. There are two hot pools outside right near the front entrance that look a little unprepossessing from the outside but are absoutely fabulous after dusk.

We used wotif.com to book this room along with all our rooms while in NZ.
Bernie & the staff at Quest Taupo were very friendly and helpful. We loved having a kitchenette ( fully stocked with pots, pans, utencils) this saved money having to eat out every night. Beds were very comfortable, and they are heated for cold winter nights. Easy walking distance to Lake Taupo and the walk around the lake. We absolutely loved the Lake Taupo area!
