Nice standard hotel. I spend 2 nights there, and I had a pleasant stay. Room amenities are not great thing. Bed and pillows are quite good. Bathroom is good. You can find WiFi at the lobby and restaurant. Food is very good an cheap. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Single room cost usd 100+taxes. San Isidro neighborhood is very nice. There are some good restaurants just few block from hotel. You can also find a great commercial area on the Ave. Conquistadores 5 block from there. Star Bucks, McDonalds, TGIF, and other locals restaurants, cinemas, bookstore, and other just arround the corner. Even though, hotel street is very quite.

Great service and comfortable bed!

We stayed 5 nights at the NM Lima and had a very good experience! We booked 2 rooms (2 couples), and they had a special for 40% off if you pay with American Express, so we ended up paying $72 per room including buffet breakfast, plus some taxes (note that foreigners are except from the 18% hotel tax, but you still need to pay 10% service tax). We had great service, and because the hotel is not very big, the staff recognized us and our local friend who came to pick us up everyday at the hotel, which gave a more personal touch.
The room is not very big but is was big and comfortable enough for us, as we did not spend much time in the room. The most important part is that we had a huge bed which was quite comfortable. It was larger than our King size bed at home, because they had put two large mattresses together, but because of the padding, etc, you can't tell until you look underneath. The bathroom is a normal size hotel bathroom, nothing luxurious or out of the ordinary, but it was very clean.
There's a very large high-end supermarket within walking distance of the hotel, where we got bottled water, snacks, etc. Also, there's a few restaurants in the area and a McDonald's and a Bembos (a fast food chain that's the "Peruvian McDonalds" and much better than McDonalds next to it)... Definitely try eating the your fries with the hot sauce "Aji" combined with Mayo and Ketchup... it's great!! Lima is a place with many great restaurants and so there's no need to go for fast food, but we just wanted to try it to see the difference.
We ate at many great restaurants and at very affordable prices (many of them not listed in the travel guides) and it's definitely a place were serious "Foodies" should go and try great food from a variety of cuisines (and most important, very fresh - so things tastes like they are supposed to).
We stayed at this hotel after a 2 week tour of Peru, and we loved this hotel. We had stayed at another hotel for 1 night at the beginning of our trip, but even though the room was much larger, we definitely prefer the NM Lima because the decor is more modern, everything was very clean, and the service was great. The hotel also arranged for a taxi to take us to the airport the day we left - it is cheaper to pay the taxi directly than charging it to the hotel bill. The cost of the the taxi by paying directly was the same as what our friend who lives in Lima pays, so we know they didn't overcharge us.
The NM Lima is not a luxury hotel, but we felt very welcome and comfortable (and we are very particular about receiving high quality products and services), which is what is important to us. We think it's a very good hotel in the price range (regular price was $120 - $160 per night)... if you want to pay $300 or more for a more luxurious hotel, you can definitely find some, but we think the NM Lima provided us with good value.

This is a small hotel, located in a nice neighborhood. Service is OK, the place is very clean, BUT this is nothing more than a 3 STARS hotel. Rooms are average, beds are really small, furniture is basic. In short: nothing special at all (so don´t expect anything more than a basic room in a basic hotel). Considering the price, 80-90 USD (Orbitz, Travelocity, Expedia), I would pay a little more (15-30 USD) and try somewhere else.
