We have just returned from Hotel Le Querce in Ischia and had a very relaxing stay.
First mention must go to Enzo on reception who is a credit to the hotel - we arrived just as dinner was ending and were exhausted after a long day travelling. Enzo could not have been more welcoming - greeted us by name and gave us lots of useful information about beaches and getting about the island. He was equally cheerful, friendly and helpful all week and speaks excellent english. Our room (superior with sea view) was very nice with a balcony and a lovely view - some of the furnishings have seen better days but there was lots of storage, it was a reasonable size and was well lit with a new bathroom and a very comfy bed. It was also extremely clean. It is probably worth paying for a sea view as some of the rooms seem to look on to trees and so may be dark. We did not use the spa facilities but the pool and pool bar were nice and there was space in the sun by the pool all day. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from town (we got the bus back up the hill!) The buses are frequent and stop right outside the hotel. Occasionally they can be busy but on the whole are a very easy way to get around the island. If there were one slight disapppointment with the hotel it is the food probably. Breakfasts are good with plenty of choice and great coffee, but the evening meals, although service is excellent from the friendly staff, are just a little disappointing. The cold buffet was gorgeous though so I wouldn't be too critical.

had a lovely eight nights at this hotel. The staff were friendly and gave us great advice on beaches to visit etc. the hotel itself was really peaceful with nice facilities and a beautiful view of the bay of Naples from our room. We ate in the hotel restaurant a few nights and really enjoyed it. This hotel is in a peaceful position and you can take a short taxi ride to the town of Ischia which has shopping, more places to eat and drink. We have holidayed in Italy many times before but not this island, and we absolutely loved it.

Please do not listen to the comments on unfriendly staff and the lack of vegetarian meals. This hotel is absolutely wonderful. The setting is beautiful, food lovely and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. People have to remember that being a vegetarian in italy is non exisitent, they love fish, meat etc etc and if the italians were to come over here and demand seafood and fresh pasta everyday i'm sure you would get pretty annoyed too!! We stayed at the Continetal Mare (next door) 4 years ago and this hotel is by far superior. If you wanna go an sample some italian life stay here if you want your english comforts then dont bother you may aswell stay in Sorrento.
The hotel has a spa which has a wide range of treatments, I had a facial and it blew all the ones I have ever had in the UK out of the water, money well spent.
Ischia is a beautiful island, very chic!

My Husband and I have just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel, we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. We found the hotel to be well located with excellent views over the bay of naples. After reading a recent review we were a little apprehensive, but thankfully our worries were unfounded.
The food was superb with a good choice, there was a good mix of guests, of all nationalities. It was fun being squashed on the buses to the port, where we enjoyed an evening stroll around the shopping area and a drink watching the world go by. Also a bus to the beach of Moronti proved very worthwhile, with good meals in the beachside restaurant. We have to speak as we find, and our experience is such that we would go back to Ischia and stay at this hotel again.
